You can pick a Wii up on sale now at some places for $150 new, or off sale for $199.99, and GameStop usually has used Wii consoles for $150 all day long. May not be the most hardcore game system, but it's still worth it to get a Wii for games like this, and Capcom's TVC fighter, or New Super Mario Bros. Wii. the VC is cool too, if you don't own the old games in there original format. ;-\.

XBox and PS3 are getting No More Heroes 1 in the future, I think near future, though I could be wrong on that. So don't fret because you will get your chance. I'm hoping they release No More Heroes 1 & 2 as a bundle pack but that's just wishful thinking.

I don't know. I think it's fine that Wii exclusive titles are being ported. I mean it's all business, and in fact it's better for more people to experience a good game rather than just a group.

LOL! How sexual.

Regardless of the bad controls, I still want to give this game a buy.

It's kind of annoying how some titles nowadays seem to be more focused on offering a lot of choppy gameplay elements rather than polishing up one or two -- for as random and goofy as this game seems to be, though, it looks like it could get away with it.

Meh, sorry, Ben. But I'll buy it. Is a unique game and deserves to be in everyone's collection IMO, just like the first one.
The gameplay does seem kinda broken, and ALL beat'em ups are repetitive and limited, so is ok.
At least the developers are trying to give something different, so there has to be some mistakes when you are starting something new.

I dunno....Odin Sphere was FAR from limited...It's overcomplicated, and that's what makes it nearly impossible to finish.

I bought that game a year ago.  I've only done 2 of the 6 stories.  It's an amazing game, but the micromanaging of items, and food, and the complex enemy strategies just piss me off sooo much that I need to take a 6 month break between each story!  :o

what i like about those game are that, they have that bizare storyline and the way they show the things, like in killer 7 or god hand. very rare games.

He said all beat 'em ups were repetitive and limited.

Odin sphere = beat 'em up.  A very very overly compex beat 'em up with tons of RPG elements...but still a beat 'em up.

....Although I can't deny that Odin Sphere is repetitive... >_>

I agree with you. No More Heroes make a great role in the Beat n' up game style, and at least IMO it's one of the best franchises that is out there. In this new gen, it's the best one, cuz it's one of the rarest games that i really enjoyed the gameplay, story, concept and characters. I'm not talking just about the second one, but of the first too. I only think that the weak point of this one, it's because they didn't give the same role to characters than the first one, because of that lack of the favoritism that was strong on the first, BUT this one have some memorable too, Margareth, Alice, Vladmir and Ryuuji. I really liked that they improved a lot of things that before was annoying, such minigames and the broken open world.

And i really want to see Suda 51 work improve even more to we see more franchises.

I hope that on the next game (No sure if it's confirmed, Suda 51 only commented that wouldn't be Travis the main character since he's story is finished), they improved the variety of everything and times spend on the game.

Wow.... I'm a bit shocked. I've been playing this game for the last 24 hours (Somewhat literally) and I must say that this game HAS to be the most improved sequel I've ever played. I reviewed the first one a while back and addressed all it's flaws and let me just say, aside from Shinobu's platforming (which is very short lived) and the one motorcycle battle (again, lasting maybe a minute) they're turned the gameplay up to 11. Of course you can't stop a combo in the middle of one, that's how a combo works, enemies do the same. And about the complaint of the charge attack, it's a CHARGE attack. It's supposed to take time to use.

I must say I disagree with this review entirely. Now my bloody fingers and I are going to attempt the final boss again.

I agree. NMH2 improved on everything that was wrong with the first. Yeah, Shinobu's jumping was pretty sucky and the bosses aren't as drawn out as the first game's bosses, but this was still an amazing sequel to an already awesome game.
