Super Mario Bros. rendered in real life in stop-motion.
We basically used anything that was there for our scenery and actors for everything else. No costumes.
I think I can safely say we like the end result even though some of it could have been better, especially at the end. (That's what happens when you're right on the deadline)
If you're asking yourself why there aren't more Mario things like stars, piranha plants, coins, score, etc... We couldn't do some of these things, didn't have enough time for some others, and simply didn't think about everything. Also there are little mistakes, the fireballs in World 1-4 should've had sound and mario goes the wrong way in World 1-3... Just letting you know this is accidental in case someone feels like complaining about it.
This was done as a project for our art/communication class in May 2009
Enjoy!

I like the idea, although I would have liked to see more frames, this is extremely choppy, even for stop-motion.

Ah well, can't do anything about that, we had to make it that slow, it was a school project and that's how it had to be done.
Thanks though :)

Great job though. We can understand how hard it would've been to make this. Usually people have objects that stand still on their own, but humans are incapable of doing so. Still a very good job.

Good job. Could have extended it a bit so it wouldn't be as choppy. Hope to see new material soon.

Thanks! I really don't know if we'll be making new videos and making it a series though. I'd love to, but right now none of us really have the time because of college... Plus I don't really have any good ideas of games to portray or whatever else. But if I do get an idea and can get friends to join me, you'll see new material eventually.

Heh, that was fun.  I think this could grow into more and become more and more smooth as time goes on.

Thanks :) glad you enjoyed it.
If we do make new videos, it'll most likely be smoother and better as we learned things from this one and won't be restricted by project rules or deadlines. As I said in an earlier reply though, it's not really in our plans right now to make another one. But who knows what the future holds. :p

I liked it! It wasn't perfect but I couldn't do it better so yeah, it was a little too choppy but you still understood what was happening
