I'm pretty sure 2 fighters, a red mage and a white mage were my first team as well. It's hard to say; it's been so long. I know I've done your team, too. Damn, how many times did I play that?

I ended up playing FFI and II through the GBA port. The games were significantly easier it seems like but FFI is a helluva lot of fun to play over again because of the various class combinations you could have. Funny how you picked two fighters, and 1 red/white mage. It's all about the Monk or I guess Black Belt. I always went with 2 monks and 1 black/white mage.

I like the intro you gave about the game in the beginning and your personal experience with the game; it made your review more interesting to watch for sure.

Review was good so i gave 8, but i personally don't like these type of RPG's. I've never understood the magic of Final Fantasy either.

I have not played the NES version, but my lineup was Warrior, Black Mage, Red Mage and White Mage!

Even though I saw this video on your youtube channel first, I want to say: PRETTY AWESOME VIDEO!

Great work Retro! I really enjoyed it, and it seemed like you had a genuine love for the game as well.

I loved the music playing throughout the video. It definitely helped hold my attention and add value to the review.
((Side note: Inserting yourself into the battle was a superb idea!))

Nice retro review.

My first team was the normal Fighter, theif, white mage, and black mage.
Has anyone else other than me tried 4 White Mages?

My first team was 1 Fighter 1 Thief 1 White Mage and 1 Black Mage.

This is probaly because I'm a DnD buff and that team sounded like the classic 1 Fighter 1 Rogue 1 Cleric and 1 Wizard team.

Good review, my first rpg experience was actually Shining Force on Genesis. My first experience with Final Fantasy was with VII. Both those games hold a special place in my heart. Furthermore, I hate the blasphemy that the current Shining series has become.

I played Final Fantasy I on the GBA port, not NES. But my team was 1 warrior, 1 thief, 1 white mage, and 1 black mage.

It was a fun game, but it took forever sometimes just to figure out where to go. I know that is the challenge in some games, and I totally can understand that. However, there are some points where you would NEVER have thought of the next step. Still a great game.

Four White Mages FTW! LOL:D

I'm just kidding, I know better than that.  My first team was mostly the standard model of Fighter, White Mage, Black Mage, and Red Mage.
