I got pretty far on top gun, though yeah landing was the hardest ever, even loading your jet with gas.

That landing and refueling nonsense drove me nuts. Eventually I simply ignore the up/down/left/right prompts and kept my eye on my speed and altitude meter. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Not that it matters, cause I strongly believe no matter what I do, the outcome is totally random. Sigh.

I did beat the first top gun.  I couldn't do it now to save my life.  I don't know why, but landing when I was 10 was so easy. I dunno what the hell I did to master it back when I was a kid.

You want to talk about frustrating video games based off of Tom Cruise movies, try playing Days of Thunder.  At least with Top Gun you have a chance of succeeding...Days of Thunder just flips you off and laughs in your face
