Yes, it is incredibly hard, (I've nerver finished it), yes it's a poor Teenage Mutant Ninja licence, with barely nothing that's coming from the TV serie, but it still remains a nice platform game...
The storyline of this game, by the time it was achieved (the prehistoric age of videgames), was rather OK and had a nice evolution, and the capability of each turtle to switch between each other was cool, especially when you needed to stock some of the special weapons (Shurikens, Kai, Triple shurikens and Boomerangs), which actually had yourself to specialize each one of your turtles in a form of attack.
It isn't a great game, but it was OK for the time, even though we can't find the Nija Turtle spirit such as in the animation...
Anyway, nice vid, that reminds me of my childhood (such as many others!)

I don't think that the game is as bad as the review suggests. I even managed to complete it many times. Having said that, however, I do remember the frustration of watching the inexplicable scene of a TURTLE trying to stay afloat in water!
The game is not one of the best I've ever played, but I suppose I'm speaking up for it now more out of nostalgia than anything

Like how splinter in the title card looks like Aladdin in disguise.
So the turtles can't swim, but there's a level underwater? Makes sense...
