Because no one really cares about current gen as much as the older games. Your generation of 'gamers' are a disgrace to the title, and really, from SNES/Genesis down, those were gaming's finest eras.

Oh come on.

I LOVE OLD GAMES!

Mainly because of that emulator my father downloaded when i was young(altough i couldn't speak or read english)

And i don't like shooters.
but you'r right...
I don't like this generation of gaming
It's all about shooters and gore.
here people laugh at me for playing pokemon... they say it's for lil kids... BUT YOU GUYS ARE 13!
THEN WHY DO YOU PLAY GAMES FOR  16 and 18 +
They can be fun ut it's mainly because of the gore....
Gore doesn't make a game cooler or better!

Yeah, i love to play Halo 3 alot, but it's not the most violent game ever. Try playing Fallout 3, then getting the "Bloody Mess" perk. The Violence and gore level SPIKES! Anyway, despite my love for Halo, I still play Pokemon, Mario, and Animal Crossing among others

It's sad, but you've basically hit the nail on the head.  Dawn and Aria of Sorrow become full-on anime games, right down to the cliches and over-complicated stories.  Don't get me wrong, it's not the worst story I've ever heard in a game - that medal is reserved for the Yu-Gi-Oh series.  I mean, c'mon...it's a motherf*cking card game, how can world conquest possibly tie in without being ridiculous?

...I hate anime.  I can pardon DBZ and Final Fantasy, as well as Pokemon (only because it had decent games), but I can only fathom that with all these half-animal people, some of these show/game/manga creators really enjoy crack.

Even still, Castlevania kicks ass - all of them do.

Anime is, in my opinion, awesome and  know I can't change your opinion on it, but i sort of agree with you to an extent. The Cliches mixed with some of the storylines are just retarded. It's usually, "Get the magic sword and slay the dragon, but first you have to go here, then here, etc. and you must recruit this person, then this traitor to the corrupt king, then rescue this guy, then recruit him/her. Oh, and while you're at it pick up my groceries." It's just ridiculous, But I'm URGING you to excuse The Fullmetal Alchemist manga/ Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood anime. The storyline's only cliches are virtually unkillable people going for ultimate power and a boy and his brother (or his brother's soul trapped in a suit of armor) are trying to stop them, then theres the philisopher's stone cliche. other than that, it's Good ol' fantasy midevil appearance mixed with modern day warfare and shooting.

First off, I have to applaud this level-headed reply - usually whenever I say something bad about anime/manga in a public forum, people say everything in the spirit of "HE'S A WITCH!!! BURN HIM!!!"

All joking aside, I have to be honest in saying I've never once seen anything regarding Full Metal Alchemist, excusing clips used as parodies, and the like.  The concept seems a little stupid for me, but hey, that's what I said about DBZ before I actually saw it.

I'll definitely check it out some time. :)

On a side note, has anyone else noticed that chicks in anime almost always have boobs bigger than their head?  Holy crap, if they were real people they'd suffocate if they ever did a hand-stand! XD

Symphony of the Night was the game that I played the most in the series because it was a pretty long Castlevania game than all the other games before it,and the cheesy voice acting didn't really bother me that much and I got used to it hearing it over and over again each time I played.

This game is 1 of my top 10 favorite games of all time!

They already are, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow developed by Mercurysteam with Hideo Kojima as an executive producer, and the first game in the Castlevania series that isn't being produced by Koji Igarashi.

Nope, it will only be available for the Playstation 3 and the 360! The Wii wasn't built for that kind of processing power that the PS3 and the 360 can dish out.

Super CastleVania IV is where its at.Symphony of the night is overrated , like... one of the most overrated game ever , even more than Halo and MW2. Actually nah , MW2 is more overrated.

I agree on so many points except for the part where you considered anything to be more over-rated than the Halo franchise.  God, it's like Bungie just ****s in a case and puts the name "Halo" on it, and the fanboys guzzle it down like a scat porn star...nonetheless, all a matter of opinion.

I agree though, the whole Metroidvania thing is tired.  I prefer the linear, straight-forward kickassery that the originals offered.  I even hold Simon's Quest superior to this type of Castlevania game (I have never played SotN but I have played Dawn of Sorrow, which I hear is virtually the same).  Backtracking in games is a pain in the ass...it's what made the Metroid Prime series so unappealing to me
