After working at our business for just under two years now, we finally had an opportunity to have a booth at Anime Central 2012 in Rosemont, Illinois.
It was an amazing experience to be able to sell our artwork to so many awesome people. Melissa and I have been working effortlessly on our shop since 2010, and it was a huge pay-off to be at such a huge and amazing convention like Anime Central.
We really over-prepared though, as we had no idea what to expect. It took us 3 solid months of work to make all of the necessary supplies for the Convention, which turned out to mostly be a waste as we didn't need that much stuff at all! But at least now we'll be prepared for next year and any other conventions that find their way into our schedule between now and then.
Thanks to all of you who came out and may have seen our booth! If you're interested in our product and would like to check us out, please visit www.8bitclassics.etsy.com!
In 2010, my girlfriend and I opened an online business called 8-Bit Classics. Our shop is run through www.etsy.com and business has been booming ever since.
We specialize in perler art, where we take perler beads and recreate classic gaming designs or come up with our own original sprites. Out of perler beads, we make magnets, coasters, wall art, earrings, necklaces, keychains, and whatever else we can think of.
We also make things such as felted figurines and glass etchings, where we hand-craft designs into a glass for your drinking pleasure. All of our glasses are dish washer safe and will keep your drinks looking cool for years and years to come!
Please, check out our website at www.8bitclassics.etsy.com. We absolutely love custom orders and would love to hear from anyone that enjoys our work! :)
