Airforce with 1700 PS3s

I just got onto the computer and got to my yahoo home page, and I notice that there is an article containing information that the US airforce had obtained 1700 PS3 consoles to Rome N.Y. To create a super computer that will try to emulate the human brain functions as well as the way the brain processes information of images. OF course I cannot take the credit and you can read the article on the url below if you dont belive me.

http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/plugged-in/u-s-air-force-building-supercomputer-from-ps3s/1387199

Here is a picture of what it looks like right now.

I think this is more weird than amazing, but we dont see the 1700 XBOX 360s or Wiis trying to become a transformer and turning into a super computer.

Golden PS3

I have recently looked at Yahoo.com and saw an article for a playstation 3 that was gold plated. At first I was thinking WTF? then went and read the article, the PS3 is selling for 5 grand!!! and I thought mine was expensive, well it also comes with two controllers that are also gold plated. Damn, First the Queen of England gets a gold plated wii, and someone is probably going to shell out 5 grand for a gold PS3. Some would think epic but I think of it as FAIL!!!

Read the article at http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/plugged-in/gold-ps3-is-gold-costs-five-grand/1380758

Assassins Creed: Linage

I was just surfing on youtube and I saw an ad for a short series called Assassins Creed: Linage, but I bet most of you know that by now. It is a live action mini series created by Ubisoft that will consist of three episodes and the first episode is supposed to premiere on Youtube by tomorrow or even right now. I didnt get to find the full episode but I have a preview of the intro right below.

Hopefully this will be a good mini series that will lead up to Assassins Creed II. It will be premireing on Youtube for all I know So far. It looks Awsome and it looks like it is worth checking out.

Super Street Fighter IV CONFIRMED!!! Spring 2010!!!

I bet alot of people already know, but I want to put a post up to make sure and to let my fellow g1's know who didnt already, After seeing hard news about it today, I thought it would have to be true, Also after going onto videogame websites such as IGN, Gamespot, and even Wikipedia(I dont't know why), after seeing an interview with Yoshinori Ono, I saw that it has been confirmed to be released as a game on a seperate disc. The reason fot this is because all of the extra content as well as rebalancing the character roster is too much for DLC. The content that was anounced were 8 additional characters, Dee Jay , T. Hawk, a new character named Juri, and the rest have yet to be announced. They also stated that it will be sold at a smaller price as well as unanounced bonus features for the players that already own a copy of street fighter 4, so DONT get rid of it. It will be available in Spring of 2010 so there is plenty of time to still enjoy our original Street Fighter IV Copies, Man and I got the collectors Edition too.

Warzard should have a console port.

One game that I think that is way over looked and unappreciated is a game called Red Earth, the game was called Warzard in Japan(I like the name Warzard better). It is a fighting game developed by Capcom in 1996 and is the first game to be used on the CPS3 hardware, it was never released on a home console. There may only be four characters to choose from but each have their own abilities and that can do serious damage to opponents. There were also bad ass opponents to fight against, specials to pick up and to level up your characters in an RPG like fighting style. I hope that Capcom would release Warzard for a home port after all of these years for XBLA and to PSN. I would like to play this game again.

Street Fighter 3 on a PSP

I think there should be a PSP port of all 3 SF3 games on one UMD. That's right New Generation, Second Impact and Third Strike. I know that 3S is an update to all of them but Sega Dreamcast had a port of both NG and 2I on one disk and called it Double Impact, and it worked out. I mean if Street fighter Alpha 3 can be ported to PSP with extra features I dont see why not make a UMD with all street fighter 3 games on it, With some bonus features like having all of the music, artwork, and promos from all three games as bonus content. It could be called: Street Fighter III: Triple Strike. That's just me however, give me opinions, they would be appreciated.

Sacred 2 Pros and Cons

I have recently bought a game for my PS3 and that game is Sacred 2. I will be giving the pros and cons of the game, even though I have not completed it. Also, i could not connect it online so the feature will not be in this review. I do not have any footage because My Camera does not work but maybe I can get a new one soon. Any way, here is my review.

PROS
Wide open Sandbox environment that is sure to add a lot of game play value. There are a diverse cast of characters from numerous backgrounds that I was able to choose from.

Graphics are great when seen up close and the intro movie is very detailed.

Items out the ass. There are so much items, weapons, potions, and relics to improve skills.

Controls may take some getting used to but are effective as I played and can switch weapons with the touch of one button by equipping items and assigning buttons to items.

CONS
Broken story line, it is easy to get lost in the story and sometimes the quests feels more like chores than opportunities.

Camera angle is off, it is hard to see where I was going. Also it can be nearly impossible to see where I needed to go to next, as well as it was always bird's eye view and were always above the character.

Even though there were many characters to choose from, they are not very customizable from the start, such as choosing hair color, skin color, or even gender. The only way to customize the character is during the quest and that is clothing and that's about it.

That's my review of Sacred 2. If anybody has any idea on how the online play is let me know in the comments section. I tried to find this game for rent but no place had it for rent and I ended up buying it, in my opinion, this game is better to rent it first to see if it is any good.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy on PS3

Here is a twist of fate in my opinion, my playstation 3 will not play PS2 games but will play PS1 games, I found Mortal Kombat Trilogy in one of my boxes and decided to pop it in to see, it does work, but however, it plays the game like a PS2 would. MKT is better played on a PS1 than a PS2 and a PS3. The reasons being that the PS1 runs the game faster and shows all content, what i mean by that is after beating the game(kicking Shao Kahn's Ass)the screen shows a reward screen that lets you choose a prize, which is from an endurence match to supreme demonstration(shows fatalities). The PS2 and PS3 run the game slower and after beating the game the screen goes to black and the game needs to be reset. I think that there is only one way to work MKT on PS3....PUT IT IN The PS STORE!!!!! YOU HEAR ME SONY?!?!! GET IT!!!!!( I will be going on playstation.com to suggest. Damn it it better work.)

Street Fighter 4: Characters they needed

I love Street Fighter 4 don't get me wrong, It kicks so Much Ass I can feel the hits from my couch. I like the character roster but to me it feels a little light. I know that SF4 takes Place Between SF2 and SF3 but there should be some of the characters from SF3 to be playable in SF4 Here are my picks and reasons for them:

Yun and Yang-They may be like Ryu and Ken, but their manuvers would have been perfect for the game.

Alex-Maybe show how he got his start and show how he got to be in SF3.

Dudley- He's got powerful specials and it would kick ass to see Dudley fight Balrog that isn't MUGEN.

Ibuki- Quick and Agile would work in online matches

Urien- His fighting style is powerful and attacks can cover nearly half distance of the screen

Gill- Show how he got his start to being a god, also seeing him fight Bison(not In MUGEN) would be ******* Epic.

The list may be a little large but It would add a lot of replay value and link stories together because I think SF3 feels disconnected from the Street Fighter Series.

Revised and Detailed List of Top 10 Bosses

I have looked back at my list and the comments and realized that my list is well...half assed. After looking at it and doing some thinking I realized that not only is my list missing detail, but some of it is wrong on my standards, here is a more detailed list and some bosses have been replaced by other bosses that I should of included instead. Also with Screwattack's policy, only one boss per series and I have never played Final Fantasy 7 so I don't know how sephiroth is so he will not be on my list, but I heard he is a bastard. Anyway here is the new list.

10. Big Blag-Battletoads
I first face Big Blag in the Battletoads and Double Dragon Crossover, I had it for the Sega Genesis. I had to keep moving to keep Big Blag from crushing me to death with his massive body, but seeing blag after being defeated was priceless.

9.King K.Rool- Donkey Kong
A fat alligator that would launch his crown at Donkey Kong in the final battle as well as DKC2 that he would fire objects out of his musket that needed right timing to dodge. My favorite battle with him was in DK64 in which all of the kongs battle him in a boxing ring in which they need their individual abilities to beat him.

8.Andross-Starfox
Andross looked cool in the original SNES game and you were shooting at his eyes, My favorite battle was in Starfox 64 when you fight him the hard way, after blowing his hands then his face up you shot at is eyes and brain to kill him off. It was kick ass and James McCloud helped fox out of the Venom abyss. Kick Ass

7.Master Hand-Super Smash Bros.
I don't know much to say but the boss of the series is a ******* gigantic hand with freaky powers, He could literally grab your character and throw you to your death. In my opinion he was a revolutionary when the original for the N64 was released. Crazy hand isn't very much of a boss as he was rarely played against in Melee and Brawl and Tabuu just sucks ass, like MAJOR ASS!!

6.Dr. Neo Cortex-Crash Bandicoot
Remember when Crash Bandicoot was only on the Playstation 1? I sure as hell do, the first three games at least and it started to go to crap when it went to other platforms in the sixth generation. The battles were epic in the first three games such as battling on top of a blimp in Crash 1, jetpacking after Cortex in Crash 2 and Fighting him while Aku Aku and Uka Uka(the masks) are fightng each other in Crash 3.Also I saw that Cortex and Robotnic are kind of the same but cortex is a little better so he will be knocking off Robotnic off the list(sorry sonic Fans).

5.Rez-Gex
I have only played Gex, enter the Gecko on the playstation 1 and I wish they would put it in the playstation store. Anyway, I fought Rez and the first stage is rather easy but he turnes gigantic and tried to crush Gex with his fist, but presses three buttons with it and ends up getting objects dropped on his head, making him a victim of his own foul play, awsome.

4.Minion-Twisted Metal
Ive always loved the Twisted Metal Games, not 3 and 4 as much as the others but it is an awesome series. the best character that is a boss is Minion, a Hellspawn demon that drives a tank around flattening everything in sight, not only was it powerful but he also put up a kick ass fight, you are lucky to make it out alive after fighting him for a good 20 minutes with a very little life bar after you have sent missiles up his ass sending him back to hell. In Twisted Metal Black was actually a fight to remember. I don't like the fact that he was replaced by the douche bag named Cousin Eddy in Twisted Metal Head On.

3.Col Radec-Killzone
One of the newer bosses in games, Col Radec in Killzone 2 is a battle that is pure mind blowing. The colonel of the Helghast executes 2 of his own troops for uniform violations is purely cold blooded. After piling up Visari Square with dead Helghast soldiers just to fight him in the end is an adrenaline rush, after shooting radec with machine gun bullets he will realize he had lost and shoots himself in the head to avoid being captured by the ISA, it must be Helghast honor I guess, but it was Bad Ass to see a boss kill himself after being defeated.

2.Gill-Street Fighter
I have a good reason for putting gill on the list rather than M. Bison and Seth. To me he was the most challenging boss in the street fighter series, he would straight up kick your ass in a few rounds and would resurrect himself after being defeated in a round for another go, pretty much two life bars in one round, he also had some Super Arts that would KO in one blow, let's see Bison do that. Also it feels more rewarding to beat Gill than it is to beat Bison or Seth.

1.Shao Kahn-Mortal Kombat
Of all of the Video Games that I have played in my life time, my favorite series is of course Mortal Kombat(MK II to be the exact game). Well Back in the good ol days when Mortal Kombat was in 2D The most difficult boss to fight against in all the video games I have played was Shao Kahn, well back in the 90's anyway. He would straight up beat the hell out of you with his hammer that stuns for a few seconds and finishes the fight with shoulder rushes, ending the round in about 5-7 seconds, I felt like I had achieved something when I very first beat him in the playstation version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy(I still have and still one of my favorites) with Noob Saibot. I later beat him in MKII with Kitana and MK3 with Sub- Zero. As the series went into 3D he has softened up and is kind of a wuss now. Even though now I can now throw him around like a baseball, Shao Kahn has rightfully earned the number 1 place on My top 10 bosses list.
