Hey there guys welcome to the first contest of -The Creed-, now has you know i'm doing a mini series about Assassin's Creed on modern times, been shooting for a time now and i think is time to give you a chance to participate since many of you are asking how you can help with the series either acting, artwork, music, appearances, etc. So heres your chance to be part of the production.

RULES:

1. You have to submit your work with your full name, g1 name and category to geral27@gmail.com or PM me here in ScrewAttack.

2. Write in the e-mail your permission to use your submission for the series.

ex: Name: Gerardo Mejia g1 name: HybridRain category: Video (link to download)

I (your name) give permission to Gerardo Mejia aka HybridRain to use this this submission on his series.

3. You can participate in 1 category per contest, sorry but we have to make room to everyone.

That practically it. Warning: please i know many will think jumping off a roof or doing crazy stunts for getting picked, heres the thing, if you don't know how to do it DON'T do anything that will put your health or life at risk, if you submit something were you got injured badly or do something very inappropriate i will dismiss the submission.

If you are a professional or do this under the supervision of one be my guest and submit.

*Video:

If you want to submit a video you must submit it like this:

Resolution: 720x480 either 4:3 or 16:9(Widescreen preferred)

Format: AVI, MPEG, MOV, or WMV with the Best quality you can get.

Audio: please good audio if you can. Time: 1 Minute. Add credits at the end.

Episode 2 of The Creed will show the background story of the Brotherhood till modern times so be creative with this. You can film or make a video composition about assassin's creed during Medieval times, World War I or II, Cold War, 80's, 90's, anytime till now 2010. Most creative ones will be pick for the video so do your best!

Maybe you don't have a camera or don't know how to contribute well if you have the skills to draw you are welcome to submit the thumbnail for the next episode, for example g1 Roadkillblues was the lucky one for the first episode: So to submit follow this:

Resolution: 720x480 Format: JPEG or PNG

You must leave space so i can put the title and logo of the series. Since this is an episode about history try to make it toward that either with my character or the brotherhood, but again creativity is what works here to win.

Music is something i really love from many talented g1's here, they do awesome stuff and definitely your work is welcome and maybe tricky to choose but heres the rules for all of you talented musicians:

"PlayStation is poison", claims Chavez president of Venezuela

Once again the president of Venezuela Chavez, voiced again his hatred against violent videogames.

On the latest broadcast of his interview show "Alo Presidente" (Hello President)he claims that “Those games they call PlayStation are poison. Some games teach you to kill.” If you remember a few months ago Chavez decided to ban violent videogames from his country attacking on that time Nintendo on his speech. Right now is not clear if he was damming the Sony PlayStation or if he was talking about the whole industry.

On a personal side note sometimes when an older person says " The Playstation" or "The Xbox" or "The Atari" here in Latin America (specially in Colombia) must of the times he/she is referring to the whole gaming products (Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox and even PC most of the times), in other words playing a videogame, that's why is not clear if he was talking about the SONY'S PlayStation or the whole videogame companies.

The whole "War on Gaming" might have come from 2008 when Pandemic Studios released Mercenaries2: World in Flames where mercenaries are send to Venezuela to fight a dictator who seized control of the nation's oil. Although Chavez doesn't make an appearance or is even was mention, the president claims: “They once put my face on a game, 'you've got to find Chavez to kill him’."

Now on Venezuela theres a law that bans local sales of violent videogames, if you are found guilty you could be sentence to a maximum of 5 years on prison, just for selling any kind of violent videogames.

Ok... can anyone please tell this guy that IS JUST A VIDEO GAME??? The pure example of ignorance ladies and gentleman.

Wii gets Netflix!!!

The wait is finally over, Wii owners will get Netflix video-on-demand service.

Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo America has confirm the partnership and already told to The New York Times that the deal “is a continuation of an effort to bring more and more entertainment to consumers”. Later today the two companies will announce the partnership.

Theres still no clue about the price for this service but will be given for free access for the full movie catalog on the Wii for Netflix’s $9-per-month DVD-by-post service. Users will have to still use the disk provided for the console until further notice though.

Launch of this service for the Wii will take on Spring 2010 on the US but nothing has been said about the UK since Netflix has no presence over there.

New Halo on the works???

If you think the Halo franchise is dead... well kind of... theres a slight possibility that a new Halo video game is on the works (obviously besides the upcoming Halo Reach).

In their entertainment job section Micro$oft has posted about 18 Halo related positions available at 343. Some of the people they want must work in the game as a Halo software development engineers, a senior concept artist, animation director and senior character artist.

Up until today the last job entry was included to the list (AI DEVELOPER-Senior-MGS-343 Industries-Halo Job) but basically all roles are based at Micro$oft's Redmond, US campus. Theres not much information about what the new Halo could be but basically the descriptions references to "new experience" and development of "an incredible team to help drive the future of Halo" although who knows, maybe it could be a handheld version of the games? only time will tell...

But seriously i would only buy the "new experience" and development of "an incredible team to help drive the future of Halo" if the game actually doesn't become a disappointment like Halo 3: ODST which should had been a DLC from the first place.

Nintendo, it hates the environment

We always hear about violence on video games, kids fighting over a 10 cents games or lawsuits, but what about video games and the environment? Greenpeace has released its latest hit-list of environmentally friendly and foes electronics companies and Nintendo has scored the lowest rate on December 14, 2009 with a score of 1.4 out of 10.

Many of the issues comes from the distribution and recollection of e-waste, chemicals used on their products and GHG emissions. Although Nintendo has scored some points on chemicals by using PVC-free internal wiring and on energy criteria for the using of a low power AC adaptor for the Nintendo DSi, however Nintendo has fail completely on it's commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions due to a second year of increases.

Other causes for Nintendo's overall score are bad Individual producer responsibility, bad Voluntary take-back, bad Information to individual customers, bad Amounts recycled and much more.

Microsoft this year scored 2.4 out of 10 next to Nintendo's 1.4 and Sony scored 5.1 out of 10 making it the most "environmental friend" out of the other gaming companies. The highest scores where taken by Nokia 7.3/10 and Sony Ericsson 6.9/10.

I must admit i'm not a hugging tree hippie but it's a shame to see an important video game company fail on trying to make a cleaner planet.

CES 2010 - Get to dah iChoppa! NAOOH!

So you remember that iPhone Remote-style gaming controller we talked about? well apparently Parrot is using this application for a "wireless video game". Using the iPhone as a remote control you can pilot this small helicopter outside and play with it.

Although the REAL gaming iWii remote hasn't been exposed to the public yet, we eagerly wait to see how this product gets tested and maybe see a few broken TVs and iPhones on the way, why not?. But for now a video of the so new "wireless video game"! how much will it cost?

iPhone, the new Wiimote???

When you think of "iPhone" what's the first thoughts you get? Apple, cellphones, communication, videos or photos? but what about being a console controller?

In the upcoming Las Vegas Consumer Electronic Show (CES) January 7-10, Parrot (a certain company that produces wireless audio products) will show an interesting application for the iPhone which transforms it into a Wii Remote-style gaming controller.

The application will use the iPhone's accelerometers feedback which will send the commands or moves to a gaming rig connected to the iPhone over a Wi-Fi wireless network. The software will create an interface with the iPhone's touchscreen so there would be for any gaming consoles the respective display of virtual control pads.

Although this application hasn't been seen working on an actual home gaming console or PC, Parrot claims that this application will make for an "exciting new enhanced reality gaming experience" and will "bring video gaming into physical reality".

I don't know about you but i hope in your next trip to the Electronics store you don't have to buy a new TV and an iPhone since it was the one that busted the TV in the first place...

So being playing a lot of COD4 lately because i'll be upgrading my self to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, hell i even spend yesterday the whole day playing again the Campaign, good memories, well and why not showing off how good of a player i am.

BTW i play the PC version so it's been impossible to play with anyone of you but someday i'll get a console and we will noob the pwns in a distant future... or maybe at SGC who knows.

In multiplayer i like to play this way: If you really want to know if you are good at a FPS always look at your score and do this math:

KILLS - DEATHS= REAL SCORE

ex:

50 kills 10 deaths => 50 - 10 = 40

So yeah there might be people that claim: "Dah... i had the muost kiaaahhllllssss" being their score 65 - 83 and some one else gots a 23 - 2

Who is better???

The best way for me is to have a 5kills/1death ratio, thats being a good player.

I count assist has negative points so if you want to tie brake something just substract the number of assists and thats it...

Clean-Up Day!!!

So yeah getting into my life a little. Yesterday i decided to clean my stuff here and oh god what the hell... Full of dust, nasty creatures and dirt just could be left from this... Anyway something i wanted to share with ya... It took a almost an afternoon cleaning this bastards hahahahahahaha but they i clean them most of the times 2-3 months later and yeah sometimes it's being worst... You must remember an old video from me cleaning at his speed so why not remembering the first and only clean up day video uh?

Oh the world... I'll, upload many old videos later on but till SA fixes the video upload problem there are a looot of video waiting to be process btw Don't kill me Craig...

Home Made Sword - Paint Process

Long time ago i decided to make a sword for a series f videos in a Final Fantasy Style project but unfortunately it didn't take off so is practically dusting over there... i might use it now in my assassin's Creed projects...? i don't really know but we will see what to do with it...

But hey why not share with ya how the sword was painted.

When you were young... actually like more than a year ago...

Decided to put a whit base color for the sword, it help smoothing the paint job.

Already dry... wait...no...

Adding the Silver color but apparently it got too dark... weird...

So yeah thi sword looks awesome and it's too bad is just there saving dust so i'll try to do something cool with it i don't know what but we will find out...

The Hybrid Realm Video Game Podcast

Hello g1's if you remember well this was a podcast i was doing weekly during my free time 6 months ago, the reason to stop it and the interviews with some of you due to reasons of study and i had to really keep up with my study and the podcast plus videos plus magazine weekly where a pain in the ass so id ecided to just stop and focus on vids and my study. But this will be back with greater features, music for your ipod and many more interviews so we can meet the g1's and the ScrewAttack Crew so in any case. Call of Duty MW2: What the new people needs to know before playing...

Hello people, CODMW2 is coming up and i've seen a lot of people picking up COD4MW so they can get in touch with the main story and the awesome multiplayer, unfortunatly theres a lot of noobs making GREAT questions in the middle of the game so what i am going to do is giving ya tips and tricks you should know so let's get into it.

This works for PC, Xbox360 and PS3.

PLAY THE SINGLE CAMPAIGN FOR GOD'S SAKE! So yeah how many ask how i can become better in the game... well first of all PLAY THE CAMPAIGN FIRST! is kind of annoying to see several people asking the same thing like "How i shoot?" "Can i ride an airplane???" "I want that Helicopter" "FIRST!". Seriously before picking up Multiplayer play the campaign people, organize the controls, sensitivity, get to know the game and then jump into the fun.

Multiplayer So after getting to know the game well let's talk about Multiplayer. In this FPS you can play different types of games such as:

Free-For-All (FFA): Royal Rumble anyone???

Team Death Match (TDM): 2 teams, one winner.

Domination(Dom): Like a King of the Hill...

Headquarters: um, king on the hill around the freaking map... Sabotage(Sabotage): 2 Teams, 1 Bomb, fight over the bomb, Blow the other temas ass.

Search & Destroy (S&D): This is the pro one, i recommend first getting to know everything and then get to this mode but if you want to get into it, go... 2 Teams, 1 Bomb, Teams take turns to either plant the bomb or defend the target, every kill gives ya +50XP but if you die you'll have to wait till next round.

This games can be played in two modes:

Normal: Default Setting of the game.

Hardcore: Difficulty is higher, you no longer have protection, weapons make like 140% damage, practically 1 shot-1 kill, no radar unless theres a UAV, no crossair, nothing to display ammunition, plain screen.

If you go hardcore you must have skill kid!

So before even getting to the battle you can notice that you can only select some classes at the beginning you must say "HEY! i want to make my own class" and start yelling at the chat of the server so before you make yourself embarrass, this is the list of weapons, perks and challenges you get while leveling up to the Level 55:

Level 2- Demolitions weapon class.
Level 3- Sniper weapon class.

Level 4- Create a Class.
Level 5- Gun challenges.
Level 6- New Playlists.

So after Level 4 you can actually create with the weapons and perks available some classes, keep in that you can only create up to 5 classes so choose your perks whisley. During the game you can get special "weapons" for some extra kills:

3 Streak Kill: UAV (Radar for detecting players)

5 Streak Kill: Air strike (Jets bomb the map wherever you want)

7 Streak Kill: Helicopter (Chopper flies through the map and randomly kills whoever is on sight)

I recommend saving your Chopper so if you get kill, call it and you can start a new Streak with radar, air strike and a new chopper, faster and deadly... So for all of you fresh meat here are my personal recommendations when playing COD4MW and well then CODMW2, much alike games but same theory...

This is my personal opinion about the usage of perks and weapons, a guide and opinion for the people, DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO PLAY LIKE THAT, you can agree or disagree with me but since I've been playing I found out how to play well the game, if you have a personal opinion or tip for all of us please put it in the comment section thank you.

***Disclaimer***

Weapons and perks Ah weapons, weapons, weapons... sometimes good, bad, over or underrated but let me tell ya if you know how to use the right perks and weapons you can PWNE the other team so recommendations when creating classes but first of all i'll point out which perks will tell everyone you are a NOOB!

-I Mean really do i have to say more, is a cheap way to get a kill beside having the ability to control where the explosion hits is a really cheap way to get a kill.

-Basically heres the deal with this, IS A CHEAP PERK! and besides if you are going to be a great player you won't be dying till you'll have a 15 streak kill and besides since it can only be use when dead you have practically 1 useless perk, you'll lose advantage in a gain o better yet why not play with Friendly Fire (FF) get shot and kill your team on a S&D, do i have to say something else? Just cheap... and NOOB! please for god's sake never use this perk... even playing FF

-Same deal like the last one but minor, since it means you have to shoot one more time and actually kill whoever is dying on the floor but this perk is more use to piss off someone, i mean you get the shot he drops but suddenly someone on the team gets the kill, fair? well no and again you are wasting one perk slot and if you play good you won't need it...

-Good lord... Juggernoob practically is another dead perk even if you are playing on Hardcore this doesn't make any difference, basically this perk only works well against guns and maybe some SMGs or Sniper rifles with no Stopping Power perk and believe me even people can kill ya before you can shoot back, Sopping Power or not.

-I hate this thing, i hate it to death! is another of those cheap tools for getting kills, theres always the combo Stun+Grenade, practically makes you slower and kind of blind, can't move well and this yeah might get ya kills, in a CHEAP way! So people believe stay away from this thing and play fair...

-Cheap Perk, even for S&D means you have 3 chances to take the team with just a blast... Cheap...

-Actually this one is new for me and i just thought about it but this weapon really is for noobs, why? reasons: 1. High rate of fire with a high clip capacity (50 bullets). 2. You can run faster, like if you have the Extreme Condition perk, so a 2 perk weapon? 3. It doesn't have a high recoil so you can shoot very well even for a SMG this weapon can get anyone at long distance. 1+2+3= SPREADER WEAPON NO SKILL INVOLVED... Although theres several opinions about this but i'll leave it to ya to decided.

-Gaymore perk is Gay...

I don't have anything else in my mind but practically this perks just won't work for someone with skills, stay away from them... Perks that i feel are not that necessary are Bomb Squad, C4's, RPG's, Double Tap, Eavesdrop and Sonic Boom, at least i feel this are not that necessary but try them just in case and judge for yourself... (Eavesdrop is completely useless on the PC version...)

Deadsilence... mmm... meh i always hear music and i have never seen someone using so often it...

Now how about some tips on making your perks shall we? Most of the beginners stays with Stopping Power and deep Impact but people theres a better way to play.

Im not gonna lie never liked them but use Bandolier/ 3xSpecial Nades, Stopping Power, Extreme Condition. Works fine i guess...

-Most of the Snipers can go through walls so Deep impact not necessary..

Hey people how ya doing? well it's been a rough week since well exams at my college just ended and the "after" effects of it are always sooooo bad to my health... a lot of caffeine still circulating on my blood, hours of lost sleep and for some reason that i just can't understand i gain weight... musst had been the 12 pizzas we ordered but anyway at least i survive and i'm back into business. So first of all i want to thank everyone for supporting the magazine, i have to pass this week with it because like i said, i was on exams and i wasn't able to do it for las weeks... sorry but we will be bcak with more awesome info for only you... and you... and maybe one or other troll around but anyway to the main TOPIC!!!!!!!! *EPIC IMAGINARY INTRO* So as you know i went to SGC a few months ago, epic convention ever, but i stayed at the US for at least a month most of the time in New York and youi probably all this because i made few blgos about my epic adventure so don't have to talk much about it...

I stayed at one of my cousins house with was pretty big really liked it which had tv, a pc and plenty of food, yes! During the first 2 days i decided to just stay at home, the trip really got me and had to sleep (12 hours not to mention i arrive like 2 AM so thats why i'm saying almost 2 days)and since they had to work during thatday i decided to watch some TV over there, they had cable so there were like 500 channels where i couldn't find the ones i see over here at Colombia, FOX, Discovery Channel, Universal Channel (which looks like it' only available on Latin America or something because no one knew about the existance of that channel... weird...), NAt Geo.. etc... etc... etc... You must be wondering... WHAT THE **** HAS TO DO THIS WITH CARTOON NETWORK YOU DOUCHE HEAD??? Well be patient i'm getting into it... After afew days and watching the whole channels and memorising them i step into Cartoon Network, it was on comercials, a Robot Chcken Star Wars special comercial i remember i said "hey CN cooll maybe i can see what the hell thye have here compared to the one at Colombia". 30 minutes later eyes and mouth were wide open, a priceless expression in my face and my hands completly frozen. I shake my head grab the control change the channel to "The Dog Whisperer" in Animal Planet, stop for a moment and said "what the **** did just saw???". Decided to change again to CN and again "What the **** is this ****!?", changed again and stop watching CN practically till Star Wars: The clone Wars and later Adult Swim... Turns out i was looking at the new CN... which wasn't funny at all... no funny cartoons... no entertaining, no Bugs shooting back to Elmer, no nothing, just a bunch of shows which kids compete in a roller coester, destroy **** and earn some cahs, i mean the ideas are cool... but what the hell are those shows doing in CN????????? it's Cartoon! Network! not The Real Life Network! Before getting more into the rant and could understand what's my real problem with this "new" channel we have to go back in time and have a little history leasson... The year is 1992, Ted Turner decided to expand his network after getting MGM movie library. Decided to buy the animation studio Hanna-Barbera you know who am i talking about??? if you don't where the hell have you been in the last 20 years? Anyway Ted decided to use his resources and the animation studio he just got and create Cartoon Network, one of the first Channels for kids, 24 hours of just cartoons, cartoons and cartoons! so during the 90's Cartoon Network used a lot of the Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros. cartoons for a loooooong time, it was fraking awesome i do remember a lot those shows, specially the Hanna-Barbera ones The Smurfs, Flintstones, The Jetsons, 2 Stupid Dogs, Swat Kats (My Favorite, best show eva!!!), Space Ghost, Tom and Jerry, the list goes on and on, those WERE cartoons people, pure fun, entertainment for kids at it's finest and i'm not shame of admiting that if those shows aired again in regular TV i would see them over and over again. After 1996, Turner was able to get it's own aniamtion studio and decided to produce it's own original cartoons, thus was made Cartoons Cartoons, shows like Power Puff Girl, Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lavoratory (which must be the greatest idea for a cartoon really like it) Ed, EDD and Eddy and more were created, the show were ok special Dexter's Lab and it was a huge progress for Cartoon Network and every kid must had enjoyed those awesome shows. During the year 2000 till now Cartoon Network change a lot, there were a lot of cartoons from other companies joining to the schedules from american to anime, those weren't so bad additions, in fact there was a segment on Cartoon Network called Toonami, there were some kick ass shows there, at least at the Toonami we had here on Colombia we had Dragon Ball z, Rouroni Kenshin (or Samurai X), Johnny Quest and many more, it was a great segment, action and adventure, the best segment for a kid at 4 pm after school.

But then... the changes started... Recently almost a year ago Toonami was cancel by CN, for me was shoking, over here in colombia unfortunatly they decided to stop airing Toonami but since i was traveling to the US i knew the show was still going on, until September 20 2008 when it was the last time we would see Toonami on Air, many knew about it, but i can saw at least half of the world didn't and many were surprised to see the ending Scene with Tom and others shuting down the show. I knew about it when a g1 here at ScrewAttack posted "The end of Toonami" i was in shock, saw it and still couldn't believe, CN what the hell happened to you...

So back to the topic, why now with the hate? well because the damn CN as turned into a damn Kid Reality Show, are you freaking kiddying me??? not to mention Slam Ball, i mean what? i just can't understand it, look i don't have anything against Slam Ball, but really? on CN? is like they started showing the Soup at the NY1 channel, which would be damn funny but still out of the sense.

What happened to Cartoon Network, that awesome channel that showed a lot of fun and entertainment, my childhood memories are with that channel, in that time cartoons were the ****, if you ask anyone over here that lived during the 90's era of Cartoon Network, Nikelodeon and Disney hows they cartoons now??? many would slap your face and say "******* horrible" but most of them will just tell ya that pretty much sucks... don't ask me unless you want me to kill ya... Todays cartoons most of them aren't just as entertaining than our shows, those were awesome, great plots, awesome action even boys and girls enjoyed them, but time has pass and the realm of cartoons has been lsot, many crappy shows are being shown in many channels over and over again, no sense, no meaning, no love, no fun.

That was one of the reasons i started watching anime too, had much better and interesting stories than Ben 10... Anyway a little summary of what i have said, i jsut hate what happened to Cartoon Network. Theres no fun and basically it just went through the same road Mtv is going now, remember when Mtv actually showed music videos??? sure there was some cartoons there but those were freaking awesome and maybe i'll talk about it in my next thoughts but back to my childhood... There was so many many great shows at Cartoon Network and it's evolution just dissapoints me, i really can't enjoy CN, not anymore specially the CN of US, over here at Colombia there hasn't been a great change, still some cartoons but not the great thing jsut turn the TV on and checked what it's showing... The missadventures of Flapjack or whatever is called... i remember at this time i was watching ToonHeads, Bugs Bunny and Cartton Theater dependig of the day... those were the days people... those were the days... In conclution, CN is just becoming boring, really Cn is jsut sucking ass for me and i'm sorry i just can't stand those reality shows on a cartoon channel, is just like Mtv, the hell i'll just calle it Rtv because theres at least more than 20 reality shows in it than music. The only think that just puts a smile on my face is that Boomerang is soooooo freaking cool. Is what Cartoon Network was, after watching the CN crap fest i decided to look deep into the channels and found Boomerang and guest what they were showing...? Swat Katz Bithces!!! god when i saw that iwas petrify, my childhood memories and fellings came back, i scream a loud "YES! WOOOOOOOOOOOO" like a 9 year old and learn practically in less than a minute how to use the rewind feature on the new cable system US have, people your TV is soooo freaking fun to use hahahaha. I watch that show and the next one and the following one till The Clone wars was on. To tell ya the truth Adult Swim is going down too, some shows are good but i didn't remember them to be so slow... Robot Chicken wasn't that funny anymore, some anime was thrown there, i really liked Code Geass will start watching it pretty shortly, but well was expecting to see something better, over here they decided to cancel Adult Swim so yeah... no see lab and robot chicken for me...

So anyway i don't know about you but i'm ending this, all i had to say i said it and i'm really dissapointed with todays cartoons, i'm not saying all sucked but most of them are and i would prefer to see a swat kats episode than the freaking fary odd parents... really. I hope most of you nostalgic gamers remembered those awesome moments infront of your TV, because i sure did and i really miss those days, but life goes on and must enjoy what the tv has for us... at least if it's boomerang... See you guys on my next thought, now i'm going to see some Swat Kats and Centurions... epic cartoons FTW! I'm your faithful thinker Hybrid Rain, Stay Gold...

Just love that time... yeah theres other non Cartoon Network shows there too but those were awesome too P.S: if you are not at least 17 years old and decide to troll this saying sponge bob squarepants is better than the 90's... screw ya! go and freaking watch boomerang!!!!! See what cartoons really are... oh and just in case you are wondering i ise sometoimes Cartoon Network and CN... is to refering the Awesome Cartoon Network and CN for the crappy one...

Reporting v4.0 - My opinions

V4.0 for now has been great, i love the many options you can now get on every section.

Although there still some bugs (duh) s really enjoyable.

So far i've tested the site on Google Chrome and Internet Explorer and both work great, i strongly recommend update your player to flash 9.0 or later so it works perfectly for vids and all.

Speed when you upload pictures or videos is great, a 50mb file can upload in less than 5mins at least with a 2k internet speed but still is pretty awesome.

Problems so far:

*Stuff like videos or items you embed on blogs that uses a multimedia player will always be in front of the communication bar below so i think this should be checked with priority.

*There should be a image section where you can see the recent picture uploads by the g1'sbut maybe is a feature for the future...

*Cathegories are stll with no function and thats why its's all empty. For example i uploaded some pictures with the Art category but still empty.

*If a video or blog is deleted, the comments stay and you are redirected to a uncompleted version of the website, check that too...

So hello g1's wow time i have done something here... well yeah been away for 3 weeks now because i traveled to a city for a congress of multimedia and was able to talk to the guys from Immersion Games, learn a lot from them and i would love to know more about the upcoming games they will be delivering at the end of this year... awesome! So let's turn this sucker up and let's see my latest projects. As you know i love video editing or at least everything that has to be with video just really love it so i'm starting a big project that i don't really know if i'll keep doing for the rest of my life or the last 3 years left we supposly have to live. Every day till the end or when i decide to pass the torch i'll be uploading every day a video of my city, Bogotá in Colombia, now not just my city wherever i'll be, if i have a laptop and internet i can do it hehehhe. This video shows how the staff was prepared for the convention and how was going to be organized. File # 3: SGC Grounds This is a little tour of the convention during the preparations of the convention. Empty but constructive i guess... Imagine most of the people who couldn't go or be the whole convention? But! this is were us the g1's get into business, theres a lot of footage recorded by g1's that i think is worth mentioning so for all of you SGC fans enjoy and for those who didn't go enjoy all the videos i'll be uploading and showing ya during the rest of September becuase theres still much fun to show all of ya... specially the fail video of Jose eating the community... spoiler for all of you... Part 1 Part 2 So my adventures doing a video got weird... I gotta admit this is the first time i do something rush and i think i should had give more effort to it but i wanted to focus more in the music so just enjoy the music and small commentary. Sorry for th elack of updates on "The Weekend Wrap-Up", week after exams is always one for resting... sorry... i'm a human too... So yeah been away for a long time with all my stuff... podcast, magazine and videos, althought i'm finally getting into schedule. Hey everyone how are ya doing, hope good because i woul be a very angry hybrid... who cares actually??? lol. Well anyway now that i have more time to do stuff and i will be able to upload more often the magazine, podcast will be back on schedule with more interrogations to come! more SA crew secrets unfold, videos well theres my new Top 10+2 Catchiest video game theme songs, go and watch it many will agree others will just weep XD BTW another excuse for not uploading hehehe. During this week i have been talking to a profesor on my Multimedia class and really liked the idea of making a magazine, he decided to help me with a new format for the magazine, just like i wanted it! a true magazine! First of all we tryed to make a flash version of a magazine but well it would be more complicated and time eating. We found a server were it automatically makes a embed with a magazine feature, here it is, the new format of The Weekend Wrap-Up! FAQ: Why it sometimes gets delay?: The reason why the magazine sometimes it gets delay is because the permission to use someof the images takes too long, sometimes. Yes, i actually ask the artists for their help and permission to use their work, i know the magazine could help them get being watch more but i try to always get the permission from them, if i don't get it i have to change he picture but sometimes i just put them and give credit to all the artists. If you want to see more art by them go to deviantart or check my other issues for the links to the artists. About the "fictional stuff" in the magazine: I'm trying to make it (as you have seen...) so the fictional stuff i do is sometimes more about events happening inside ScrewAttack, for example on Hard News, Craig's wedding, when the crew takes vacations, etc... Is just for entertainment and to make it more magazine feeling. Why you decided to post g1 posts iin the magazine?: I want to help the g1's,most of the times the blogs gets overlooked althought Silent_Protagonist has done an incredible job compiling the best overlooked blogs here at ScrewAttack, i want to help in a certain way post someones blog and besides i really like to give the blogs more design while making the page for the magazine. Oh, so how can i get into the magazine???: If you want to make an article it's fine with me, just PM me and show me your work either blog or article you have written before, it must be well written (at least better than me although that means anyone can write better... ) and very informative. To be posted has blog of the week, just send me a blog that has been overlooked and the one that i think is better. While there so many ads in the magazine??? Well how do you think it could get publish every week!? XD What's with the ScrewAttack Bolt??? I wanted to entertain ya more, just a little puzzle... who knows, maybe in the future theres going to be contests or gifts... well no gifts sorry i dont have money to send ya.... Hey people how ya doing? well it's been a rough week since well exams at my college just ended and the "after" effects of it are always sooooo bad to my health... a lot of caffeine still circulating on my blood, hours of lost sleep and for some reason that i just can't understand i gain weight... musst had been the 12 pizzas we ordered but anyway at least i survive and i'm back into business. So first of all i want to thank everyone for supporting the magazine, i have to pass this week with it because like i said, i was on exams and i wasn't able to do it for las weeks... sorry but we will be bcak with more awesome info for only you... and you... and maybe one or other troll around but anyway to the main TOPIC!!!!!!!! *EPIC IMAGINARY INTRO* So as you know i went to SGC a few months ago, epic convention ever, but i stayed at the US for at least a month most of the time in New York and youi probably all this because i made few blgos about my epic adventure so don't have to talk much about it... I stayed at one of my cousins house with was pretty big really liked it which had tv, a pc and plenty of food, yes! During the first 2 days i decided to just stay at home, the trip really got me and had to sleep (12 hours not to mention i arrive like 2 AM so thats why i'm saying almost 2 days)and since they had to work during thatday i decided to watch some TV over there, they had cable so there were like 500 channels where i couldn't find the ones i see over here at Colombia, FOX, Discovery Channel, Universal Channel (which looks like it' only available on Latin America or something because no one knew about the existance of that channel... weird...), NAt Geo.. etc... etc... etc... You must be wondering... WHAT THE **** HAS TO DO THIS WITH CARTOON NETWORK YOU DOUCHE HEAD??? Well be patient i'm getting into it... After afew days and watching the whole channels and memorising them i step into Cartoon Network, it was on comercials, a Robot Chcken Star Wars special comercial i remember i said "hey CN cooll maybe i can see what the hell thye have here compared to the one at Colombia". 30 minutes later eyes and mouth were wide open, a priceless expression in my face and my hands completly frozen. I shake my head grab the control change the channel to "The Dog Whisperer" in Animal Planet, stop for a moment and said "what the **** did just saw???". Decided to change again to CN and again "What the **** is this ****!?", changed again and stop watching CN practically till Star Wars: The clone Wars and later Adult Swim... Turns out i was looking at the new CN... which wasn't funny at all... no funny cartoons... no entertaining, no Bugs shooting back to Elmer, no nothing, just a bunch of shows which kids compete in a roller coester, destroy **** and earn some cahs, i mean the ideas are cool... but what the hell are those shows doing in CN????????? it's Cartoon! Network! not The Real Life Network! Before getting more into the rant and could understand what's my real problem with this "new" channel we have to go back in time and have a little history leasson... The year is 1992, Ted Turner decided to expand his network after getting MGM movie library. Decided to buy the animation studio Hanna-Barbera you know who am i talking about??? if you don't where the hell have you been in the last 20 years? Anyway Ted decided to use his resources and the animation studio he just got and create Cartoon Network, one of the first Channels for kids, 24 hours of just cartoons, cartoons and cartoons! so during the 90's Cartoon Network used a lot of the Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros. cartoons for a loooooong time, it was fraking awesome i do remember a lot those shows, specially the Hanna-Barbera ones The Smurfs, Flintstones, The Jetsons, 2 Stupid Dogs, Swat Kats (My Favorite, best show eva!!!), Space Ghost, Tom and Jerry, the list goes on and on, those WERE cartoons people, pure fun, entertainment for kids at it's finest and i'm not shame of admiting that if those shows aired again in regular TV i would see them over and over again. Swat Kats Season 2 Intro After 1996, Turner was able to get it's own aniamtion studio and decided to produce it's own original cartoons, thus was made Cartoons Cartoons, shows like Power Puff Girl, Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lavoratory (which must be the greatest idea for a cartoon really like it) Ed, EDD and Eddy and more were created, the show were ok special Dexter's Lab and it was a huge progress for Cartoon Network and every kid must had enjoyed those awesome shows. During the year 2000 till now Cartoon Network change a lot, there were a lot of cartoons from other companies joining to the schedules from american to anime, those weren't so bad additions, in fact there was a segment on Cartoon Network called Toonami, there were some kick ass shows there, at least at the Toonami we had here on Colombia we had Dragon Ball z, Rouroni Kenshin (or Samurai X), Johnny Quest and many more, it was a great segment, action and adventure, the best segment for a kid at 4 pm after school. But then... the changes started... Recently almost a year ago Toonami was cancel by CN, for me was shoking, over here in colombia unfortunatly they decided to stop airing Toonami but since i was traveling to the US i knew the show was still going on, until September 20 2008 when it was the last time we would see Toonami on Air, many knew about it, but i can saw at least half of the world didn't and many were surprised to see the ending Scene with Tom and others shuting down the show. I knew about it when a g1 here at ScrewAttack posted "The end of Toonami" i was in shock, saw it and still couldn't believe, CN what the hell happened to you... Todays cartoons most of them aren't just as entertaining than our shows, those were awesome, great plots, awesome action even boys and girls enjoyed them, but time has pass and the realm of cartoons has been lsot, many crappy shows are being shown in many channels over and over again, no sense, no meaning, no love, no fun. That was one of the reasons i started watching anime too, had much better and interesting stories than Ben 10... Anyway a little summary of what i have said, i jsut hate what happened to Cartoon Network. Theres no fun and basically it just went through the same road Mtv is going now, remember when Mtv actually showed music videos??? sure there was some cartoons there but those were freaking awesome and maybe i'll talk about it in my next thoughts but back to my childhood... There was so many many great shows at Cartoon Network and it's evolution just dissapoints me, i really can't enjoy CN, not anymore specially the CN of US, over here at Colombia there hasn't been a great change, still some cartoons but not the great thing jsut turn the TV on and checked what it's showing... The missadventures of Flapjack or whatever is called... i remember at this time i was watching ToonHeads, Bugs Bunny and Cartton Theater dependig of the day... those were the days people... those were the days... In conclution, CN is just becoming boring, really Cn is jsut sucking ass for me and i'm sorry i just can't stand those reality shows on a cartoon channel, is just like Mtv, the hell i'll just calle it Rtv because theres at least more than 20 reality shows in it than music. The only think that just puts a smile on my face is that Boomerang is soooooo freaking cool. Is what Cartoon Network was, after watching the CN crap fest i decided to look deep into the channels and found Boomerang and guest what they were showing...? Swat Katz Bithces!!! god when i saw that iwas petrify, my childhood memories and fellings came back, i scream a loud "YES! WOOOOOOOOOOOO" like a 9 year old and learn practically in less than a minute how to use the rewind feature on the new cable system US have, people your TV is soooo freaking fun to use hahahaha. I watch that show and the next one and the following one till The Clone wars was on. To tell ya the truth Adult Swim is going down too, some shows are good but i didn't remember them to be so slow... Robot Chicken wasn't that funny anymore, some anime was thrown there, i really liked Code Geass will start watching it pretty shortly, but well was expecting to see something better, over here they decided to cancel Adult Swim so yeah... no see lab and robot chicken for me... So anyway i don't know about you but i'm ending this, all i had to say i said it and i'm really dissapointed with todays cartoons, i'm not saying all sucked but most of them are and i would prefer to see a swat kats episode than the freaking fary odd parents... really. I hope most of you nostalgic gamers remembered those awesome moments infront of your TV, because i sure did and i really miss those days, but life goes on and must enjoy what the tv has for us... at least if it's boomerang... See you guys on my next thought, now i'm going to see some Swat Kats and Centurions... epic cartoons FTW! I'm your faithful thinker Hybrid Rain, Stay Gold... Music: Street Fighter 4 - Intro 2 So i had an interview today and it was, meh easy, "are you happy with yourself? do you like to live in Africa?" yeah don't ask but is for college and well it was good i'm hopping to see if i pass because if i get myself into the job i will be traveling around the world soon hehehehehe, but they asked me a reel for the interview and well last night i made it because the freaking email got late! so trying to find stuff i've done i realise that i don't have material for a reel, not enough material people just a lot of video editions but how to show a video editing process in a video reel??? hard but had to make a good reel and that's it. After seing this, my eyes were open, i do really have to start working more into video production, motion graphic and more cideo design than editing, sure is my what i know best but i need to make more compositions like Chromakeying, Motion Graphic, Tracing, etc. If i really want to work in the video and production business gortta start working more into it, i really found a good tutorial website for this, is called Video Copilot.com and the Tutorias outstanding i really want to start making each tutorial till i become the best, will do it people, will do... In other news i really appreciate everyone for loving the weekly magazine i do really put a lot of effort to it and many of you have ask if this could become the Weekly Newsletter since it's pretty much death, Screwattack what the hell has happened to the Newsletter??? anyway i'll jsut ask Craig, if he accepts people you got a new feature every week! wait.. that means more work damn t!
