Hey awesome people! Thanks for clicking in, here's some delightful music to go along with this blog (sorta how I'm feeling right now!) I realize this seems like another pro-SA blog, but it's also pro-g1 and pro-gaming (not MLG) and pro-good times. Where do I begin? I joined here on the site as a skittish naive fellow, not really knowing what to expect. However, I knew I could count on the site to upload something great when I had a crappy day (we know the creed, "something original... every freakin' day). What I didn't see coming was the following community producing amazing content! It's been really incredible seeing this site grow as well as the g1s who have come from the expansions. I hope I can say for myself that the site has helped me get better in movie making with the critiques and the g1s who are here to help. In true honesty, I have not met a g1 who I can say I hate. Everyone here is fantastic! Granted, we have our darker moments (myself included) when negative output is given and we don't really mean it. However, we come together at the end of the day and unite like Voltron! Or as an awesome family, either work. ScrewAttack has become a sacred haven for me, a wonderful site to kick back and just talk with people who share my interests. It sucks in real life when you can't really talk to a friend (at least for me) about how awesome a game is and he doesn't have a clue about gaming. But! It's quite redeeming to share on the site with bodacious g1s. I'm somewhat writing this because of the recognition g1s get. I don't know about you, but I literally jump at work whenever I get a question answered on SS or see my blog get featured. It's comforting to know that no matter how big SA will get, the g1s are the focus and won't be forgotten. In conclusion, everyone here has really contributed to the fun I've had. I really appreciate it and I hope I can repay in some way. For the meantime, I hope my blogs and vids can be suitable substitutes. THANKS EVERYONE!!! Kenny

You ever throw your controller across the room in anger? Yell at the screen? Maybe even go to extreme measures by destroying something. Well good g1, you are not alone. As obvious a blog as this is, we might as well identify the factors of frustration. Here are the Top 10 Frustrating Moments Involving Games: #10: Level Grinding This is low on the list because sometimes the great games make it not too monotonous. Otherwise, this is really one of the reasons I can't get into MMORPGs. Granted, it is absolutely fine if that is how one rolls, but it's not my cup of tea. #9: Trial and Error Great Scott, look at that! Sure, that's the nature of "I Wanna Be The Guy", but whenever one plays a game isn't it generally desired to play through smoothly without dieing again and again? Meh, I suppose it's all over the place. #8: THAT Boss Gar, it's THAT Boss... this character can come in any game in any shape in any personality. Mine is quite frankly Queen Zeal from Chrono Trigger. Yeah she's beatable, but she is a $%@#$! She teases you with puny attacks and then, guess what! She drains your team's HP down to 1! SONUVA! #7: Repetition Hey, it's a unique enemy! Oh, there's another... and another... and another. It happens, there just needs to be a shot of new added. #6: The Boss That Wouldn't Die In a sense this should go with #7, but this gets it's own special little spot because these screwballs play the almighty card. In the end it's extremely satisfying to kick the crap outta them, but during the journey they are a severe thorn. #5: GAMING IS SRS FKIN BSNS! I'm probably a hypocrite in this, but there are some crazy people out there that take gaming WAY too serious and stern. What I mean is when said crazy individual hates everything except a particular game and think they are the ultimate pro. Remember, games are fun! From my time as a g1, I haven't met anyone on the site like this so rock on! #4: Dead batteries!? NO WAY! This hasn't plagued the earlier generations much, but handhelds and current gen wireless aren't free. In my case, I was kicking some serious A in Battletoads for the GameBoy and then... it just shut off in refusal. Burn you dead batteries! (Isn't that pic just delightful) #3: The Antis Oh joy, those wonderful individuals who have to blame something for the troubles of the world. Yes, junk food isn't good, violence isn't exactly ideal entertainment for kids, the list goes on. However, the fun shouldn't be taken away because of particular examples. #2: Back Seat Gaming All of us think about it, "I know I could do that," etc. It's when one decides to tell the player exactly what to do. Sometimes it's in good fun, but if it's a clutch moment, you know you want silence and concentration. Are you ready for #1? I'm not, but let's rock! #1: So close, yet so far Yeah, we have been here. A mere centimeter of health that our opponent has, a close score in closing seconds, it goes on. When suddenly... it goes out of our hands. The boss goes into Uberboss mode, the other player moves his finger a millisecond faster, it always sucks. Well, we find a way to overcome these annoyances and triumph to have fun in our game. Hey g1s! Back at it again with Console! We've fixed most of the previous bugs, hopefully not creating more. "Kong" had a bit of an accident last week, breaking his nose at soccer camp, hence the tie-in joke you'll see. WIth things slow around the hospital, Console decides to train Kong more when they encounter a particular hedgehog... who speaks german. Anyways, I hope you enjoy and as always rock on! 2 fun years as a g1! A look back

Yeah! I couldn't believe it myself! What a marvelous time it has been on the site. Here's a vid of the stuff I've done while here. Anyways, I have had a lot of fun here on ScrewAttack. It's almost become a second home for me, always a haven to go to for something original every freakin' day! It's been excellent having the site around and watching it grow into the awesomeness that it is today. Plus, it's been really great getting to know g1s better. Nothing but cool stuff produced by everyone. I'm proud to be a g1, it's been a grand time. I hope more success comes to the site and everyone here. Everyone rocks so hard here, it's triumphant. The Incredible Adventure of SGC (Farmboy Kenny's Photojournal)

SGC?! S! G! C! WOO! Quite possibly the greatest and most awesome (ok, my first) convention I've ever been to. Heck even when I walked in, I met the one and only Stuttering Craig! Then I got to hang out with the Ghostbusters! Ben was a real stallion during the event, always ready with the soundboard and a champion of film. As Craig said "Ben is a wonderchild." Yeah, I know I'm not a part of the awesomeness of Metal Gear Ben, but it was cool taking a picture with Ben and Chad in gear. I cosplayed as good ol' Gendo (lol). Funny story, Adrian (great associate of Keith) thought I was the actual actor of Gendo of Life in a Game. The panels were extremely fun and you never knew what unscripted goodness would happen. Angel, Keith, and even Tommy The Toucan got in on the action. RAMBO! Alright, halfway through! Now this can't be a decent photojournal without some pics of excellent g1s I met up with. Shoutout to DanteElDiablo, Kagmeister, and Hybrid Rain! What's really cool is that SGC was big enough to flow smoothly, yet small enough to still meet with our favorite crew. Not only did I get to take time with Nick, Bryan, Jose, Corey, Chad, the Nerd! (even though there was a designated autograph session (which lasted 2 hours!), I was lucky enough to meet him in the arcade beforehand), Angel, Destin, Jared (really awesome time at the shop!), Little Miss Gamer and Brett of PBC, Dan and Jon of Life in a Game (who gave extremely great advice along with Brett and Jared in the Low Budget Filming Panel), but I also got their signatures on my Super Nintendo! Anyways, thanks for glancing through and I hope it was cool. Oh, one last thing: Security stole mai Bawls! P.S. Here's a little extra treat: SGC! WOO!

Greetings to one and all. Tonight, I sit down with an NPC who's had enough of the shadows. Also, we discuss the element of being the star of a game. This and more now on Console Chat. (annoying intro that everything interview show has) Host Kenny: How are you doing tonight, NPC? NPC: Gosh dangit, I have a name! HK: Oh, forgive me. What is your name, NPC? NPC: (sigh) My name is John Smith. HK: (holds in a snicker, but snorts) JS: What?! HK: Nothing, nothing, let's move on. So, I understand you are sick of playing second fiddle. JS: That is correct. I do not want to be turned aside any more. HK: Now, for the viewers (reads list), you have been in quite a few games. To name a few: Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, and even Spiderman 2. Care to elaborate? JS: My life was a living hell through each of those. I was always used as pincushion or a stunt double. Snake does not do $%*%! HK: (glared at by producers) Those are rather harsh words, John. It could not have been all that bad, it must have been exciting to work with Snake. JS: (fuming) %$#$ Snake! They should have put me on that mission with all the crap I had to go through! Don't get me started on Spiderman! HK: It is all right, John, calm down. Was it not a childhood dream fulfilled to work with Spiderman? JS: He broke my neck! I was supposed to be saved from slipping off a balcony and he dropped me! HK: (nervously) I see... (pulls at collar, laughs) looking ahead, I think you desire to be a star, correct? Perhaps, we could give you a new name, refreshen your image... JS: EXCUSE ME?! HK: Er... I mean.. JS: You know what, screw this! I going to go kill all the stars of gaming! Villainy will work better for me! (storms out of studio) HK: Wait, NPC.. crap... JOHN! Come back! (looking back) Hehe, I suppose that concludes our interview. Turn in next week to see our feature on the wild goomba. Until next time, I'm Kenny and this is Console Chat. What the crap happened to my 18th birthday!?

Rock or Suck Reviews: Batman Gotham Knight

Why hello ladies and gentlemen who care to read this review. I am Farmboy Kenny here to give my opinion on the new dvd compilation of Batman Gotham Knight. There may be several spoilers, but let's continue on. There are six shorts contained and I'll give a brief view on each. #1: "Have I Got a Story For You" One word really to describe this: meh. It's Batman, always awesome, but it's told through the perspectives on kids who are exaggerating the story. Now the animation in it kinda annoys me because it seems like something I would see on YouTube drawn, rather than by a pro. Plus, Batman was drawn a little too chubby. Ugh. Rating: 2 out of 5 chubby Batmans. Skip it. #2: "Crossfire" Alright, here's where it gets hardcore. Two detectives are given the task of delivering a nutter to Arkham. It teases off of 'Batman Begins' ending, where Arkham is now a complete island prison. One weird thing is when they get the nutter to the attenders and they are grinning ear to ear, "Welcome back." What the fu manchu?! Oh well, the two are later got in the crossfire (oh gosh, a title reference) of a gang gunfight. Batman interrupts it and after several car explosions, he walks through the flaming wreakage. It's a freakin' bonfire and he's just fine! Epic! Rating: 4 out of 5 flaming cars. #3 "Field Test": You know what, screw it. You already know the dvd is hardcore. Why are you reading this when you could be watching it? All in all, it kicks major rear; the music is fantastic, the action is intense, I highly recommend it. Especially #4 "In Darkness Dwells" and #6 "Deadshot". Rocks my face off. Final Rating: 5 out 5 batarangs= epic rock.
