Motorstorm Pacific Rift Demo - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Well, I got to get my hands on the demo for the biggest racer this fall for the PS3.
Keep in mind, this is only based on the demo.

The Good;

- The game looks outstanding! The graphics are some of the best I've seen on the PS3.
- Ladies and Gents we now have local splitscreen multiplayer action!
- For those who hope they stay true to the original Motorstorm, they did. It's pretty much just like the first with a facelift! The controls are the same and the vehicles handle the same as they did in the first.
- Alternate routes just like the first!
- Over double the tracks from the first Motorstorm
- Monster Trucks! Grrrrrrr!!! Oh yeah!!

The Bad;

- If you were like me and hoped that they improved the handling of the vehilces cause you felt they seemed too loose. You're shit outta luck, the controls are the same. So chances are, if you take a turn a bit too wide, you WILL crash.
- No in-game music, but that COULD just be for the demo (and probably is)
- The lengthy crashes are still in the game, but at least after a point you are able to skip them.
- You better know what you're doing! Crash once, and kiss 1st place goodbye. This is not an arcade game. It's more of a off road sim and you WILL crash if you clip a wall.

The Ugly;

- Again, a great looking game, the graphics are amazing!
- The UGLY TRUTH, in order to get this demo a month early, I had to buy an episode of Qore, which is Playstations online magazine. Booooo Sony!

Overall, if you enjoyed the first Motorstorm, you'll love the new one!
If you're looking for a casual racing game, this is NOT for you... Unless you're gonna play with friends, otherwise people online will kick your ass and even the computer will kick your ass!

My last review was on Pure and I mentioned I'd decided which I'm gonna get after played the Motorstorm 2 demo, and after playing the Motorstorm Pacific Rift demo, I'm actually leaning towards Pure right now.
