just downloaded mario rpg from the vc due to the hanibai festival or wotever its called.
I wasn't overly impressed with the beginning of the game, not sure why but as soon as i met with toad and the dialouge began I was completely won over. Subtle yet funny, i haven't played a square enix game in awhile but if the dialouge is like this in all the games i will have to re think my abandonment of the final fantasy series (well other than tactics for the GBA... awesome game shame i didnt finish it.) what i love most is the constant mickey taking of the mario series re ocurring story line as toads constantly moan about the princess being kidnapped yet again, it makes me wonder wether square anticipated all the future mario games would stick to the save the princess bravardo.
I have pretty much mastered the timed hits combat system which definately adds a certain skill to turn based battles. also i love how you know when u are going to be attacked by enimies rather than having random encouters. Im a big fan of the paper mario series so playing its 'ancestor' was a must!
my favourite part so far was having mallow the frog join your team and a dialouge box appear saying he looks nothing like a frog.
The title makes no sense...
I love this game, too. But the topic title doesn't make any sense. Europe got the game two weeks before the USA.
well the title was meant
well the title was meant about the original release of the game as it wasnt released in europe. but apologies for being indecisive
