Nick's Rants (A one handed gamer successfully integrated into the two handed gamers world)

You probably think I'm gonna rant on how hard it is to be a one handed gamer, but it's not hard and definitly doesn't count as a handicap during a game of Halo 3 online. Sure the Left bumper and trigger are a pain to use, but i still use them to the best of my ability, and I think dual wielding is overrated! I can't say a don't dual wield sometime, but most of the time I just stick two handed weapons like the battle rifle and the assault rifle. I love all sorts of RPGs because there usually isn't much use of the left buttons.

I figure that customized controllers for one handed people are for noobs (unless you're missing an arm altogether then you're exempted). The Wii-mote by its self is amazing but the damn nun-chuk sucks ass for me to use. I can't use the analog stick too well so I have to pull a McGuyver and pull some kind of strategy out of my butt. The c and that other button are basically useless time. Honestly it makes Zelda seem friggin Epic! Sadly I only really played Twilight Princess for a short time.

The PS3's controller is awesome. Nice and small just like the PS2 controller...actually they're pretty much the same but wireless.

When it comes right down to it I have no problems with most games. Except for a few which is a bit of a downer, but that is only just Wii titles so it doesn't matter. I'm just as good as the rest of you; I kick ass at Street Fighter 2, Armored Core 4, Mario World, etc.

Oh I also wanted to throw this question out there. Um does anybody know any programs I could use to make web comics with...that are free?

On Webcomics..

First of all, it's pretty damn cool you still play videogames. Kudos.

As for Webcomics, I've tried making them in the past, but due to lack of drawing ability, I've always made Sprite Comics. That being said, MS Paint works okay. It's alright. If you can find a free version of Photoshop that would probably be a hell of a lot better. GIMP is also an option you might look into, although it's not terribly user-friendly. If you intend to draw, than it depends on how you want your comic to look, really, but if you are drawing, don't use Paint, it'll wreck whatever quality your pictures have.

=D

Wow thanks I went and downloaded GIMP. It looks pretty confusing, but heck it's a great way to start =D
