Hobo's Favorite Game Beginning With the Letter "B"!

--"B"--

After lots of thinking I finally chose my favorite game starting with the letter “B”. Bomberman: Act: Zero was released on—wait; no, I’m not handicapped in gaming. I know what a shit game is and what a good quality game is. Let’s move on.

--God awful mess--

My real “B” game is Burnout 3: Takedown. Burnout 3 was actually the first Burnout I played, I have played all since then, including the older ones, it was fast and exhilarating the first time I popped it in and it still remains so anytime I play it. Basically, you’re given a car and you’re told to race, smash your car, or... smash other cars into oblivion. Simple gameplay but it works.

--Explosions--

You of course have to have a racing mode in a game with vehicles right? Well yeah, but Burnout was a rebel and said, HEY! Listen, we ain’t any Gran Turismo. We’re for people with destructive personalities. We’re for the strong nations and the strong people.

--Rock n' Roll... and blow sh#t up!--

Burnout IS the definitive vehicular game... for America—you know, the only country where you can blow shit up and be proud of it. In the vein of Twisted Metal, this game is simply built around crashing into other cars and dealing as much damage as you can without dealing damage to yourself. It’s a highly unrealistic game but that’s what’s so fun about it.

--This should give you a general idea of the game--

You’ll sidle up to a rival driver pull back and, BAM! You’re car will crash against their bumper causing them to swerve drastically out of the street and into a tree. For your next rival you’ll want to try something a little differently for more points. Let’s rub against them at a high speed nudging them off the road and—well, you get the general idea.

--MOAR EXPLOSIONS--

Besides the high velocity racing and hectic road rage you’re also given the option to try out one of my favourite modes, Crash Mode.

Here you’ll drive up as fast as you can and smash your car into large traffic, sometimes launching yourself off a ramp, and collecting points. Once you get enough cars to pile-up you’ll be able to detonate your vehicle and cause even more mayhem. You can play this mode with your friends obviously and try to see who can get the most points.

--/gameplay--

That’s pretty much the game. Each mode has a multi-player alteration and it still remains fun. The music pumps you up and... if I was going to recommend one Burnout game in the series to try to hook someone on, I’d pick Burnout 3: Takedown.

--Man, I love this game--

It’s one of those games that really, never get old. You can pop it in a PS2 one night with your buddies and just sit back and enjoy the carnage and explosions.
