That was a good video.

That was a good video. Informative, and just corny enough to make it pretty damn funny.

When did the Japanese custom of charging so much for airfare start? I'd like to visit my bro is Sasebo, but the airfare keeps jumping higher!

Thanks!

Thank you very much. I often wonder the same thing regarding prices. Sometimes you can get a ticket for $600.00 other weeks $2,000 so I have no idea what the deal is. It also depends on holiday seasons and such.

I got my hopes up and

I got my hopes up and promised my bro I'd be there when I saw fare to Tokyo around $800-$1000.

Then heading to Sasebo jumped it up to 1400...1600...1800...

Like chasing a little demented cash register.

Ouch

Yea I know the feeling, I haven't even been home in nearly 3 years out of laziness, expensive planes or my general dislike of planes. Hurray for skype though eh?

I hate to say this, but for

I hate to say this, but for some reason I don't like the personality you choose to portray yourself as. Even with a topic that should be fun I lost interest because of how you presented it. I noticed your views on youtube aren't very high so maybe a lot of people agree with me. Consider taking a film class or something so you know better how to entertain. Just some advice, good luck. I say good luck, but only if you rework it, as it is I can't say I'll watch any more of your videos. Sorry.

Appreciated

I appreciate the honesty and some of your comments have been said before. Giving energy into my videos and entertaining as many people as possible have always been something I have worked on. You need only watch Episode 1 and then watch anything after episode 9 to see that the show has come a very long way and still have a long way to go.

As I live in Tokyo I sure the film class is not an option so i'll continue my own experimentations and studies and see where it goes.

As for the youtube views, I am not sure my video value reflects that. In all fairness my show is very vague and doesn't fit into many categories and as a result is hard to find, that above all else makes it difficult to promote.

Thank you for taking the time to watch the episode and perhaps someday you'll find the show enough entertaining.

well

Not to mention that the youtube views are possibly low due to people watching it on the hosted website. But yeah.

Edit: Also damn you Kaze, I think now I actually have that theme song stuck in my head. I don't speak a word of Japanese, but I pretty much know the words by heart now.

Bees. My God.

OMG, I missed this show!

OMG, I missed this show! XD

Maison Ikkoku makes a little more sense, now =P

Awesome as always Kazekawa

But I just cant understand Americans sometimes... WHY do you enter your own house (and others) with shoes on!? It's dirty and looks generally bad. In Sweden we do the same as Japan, if you walk inside with shoes, prepare to get scolded or thrown out. You can however go inside with shoes IF you like :OH I forgot my keys, or OH I forgot my backpack.

Shame on you Americans, shame on you...

Nice

My mother never allowed shoes in the house, however I had friends you sometimes refused to take off shoes for whatever reason. Some households care, others less so. I personally prefer clean to dirty but to each their own. Eitherway thanks for watching.

it just depends

when it comes to shoes in america there really isnt proper ettiquette (i think i spelled that right) when it comes to shoes, and if there is, it isnt well known enough to make a difference. one of my friends mothers was fanatical about shoes not being in her house, and that was fine becasue its her place and she can make whatever rules she wants. on the other hand, if someone is not staying long its implied that they will keep their shoes on for the sake of being easier then removing and putting on your shoes again.

there are odder stigmas regarding shoes in america for example, my girlfriends mother will freak out if she happens to see shoes on any bed. the reason being that she believes that its extremely unlucky. i personally hate "lucky and unlucky" stigmas, unless they are intended for fun.

nice vid

i enjoyed the vid alot. so thats your host family? neat, are you an exchange student or employee or something like that. they seem pretty cool if they let you film them like that.

I could be wrong, but I

I could be wrong, but I believe the lady in the video is Kaze's wife. No idea who the other people are though.

Also, great show as always, and I had a blast Skyping and catching up with ya last night Kaze.

Close

Close but as stated above she was not my wife but is my host mother. 4 years ago when I first came to Japan I stayed with her and the family at that house for 6 weeks. I had come for a college summer vacation just to relax but ended up deciding to stay.

As for the skype, heck yea, it was a lot of fun talking to you as well.

Sorry dude. My bad. :P

Sorry dude. My bad. Should have payed more attention to the other comments. :P

Shoes

Why do people think its Japanese to take off your shoes inside? It's just common courtesy... well at least in Europe.

Shoes in Ontario

In Canada every house I've ever been in, people take their shoes off, I thought it was just americans that do that, but I've never actually been in an american home.

shoes

In my entire life I've only known one person who wears shoes IN their home - and that was Mr Rogers.

I walk around my home in either socks, slippers or barefoot.

Bees. My God.

Nice episode Kaze
