Hi fellow g1s!h
I'm a new g1 here at screwattack, but i'm know the site since january.
I did never fell into the fad of blogging, but now i finally got the pacience to do it!
I like retro gaming and new games i like most types of games.
So because of that I dont really make myself a steriotype gamer like FPS additc and WOW nerd!(i'm not talking bad about you i'm just saying what everyone thinks)
Now my opinion about games.
You may be confused about the title, let me explain.
I love music (but i dont know how to play any instrument, yet, or even have guitar hero or rock band lol), i like pure Rock, Punk, Grunge etc... Music is a product that gives a lot of money to almost everyone who thinks that can sing.
Musicians now are just big sellouts, they don't do it for the music, they do it for the MONEY! That why i like punk because they do it for the music not the money.
Now games today are just as that! Today every gaming company just searches the market to see what will be the most profitable (eg: Movie Games, obviously).
Games are supose to be about fun not about selling more copies.
Lets turn to the FIFA series, until this year i didn't see almost no improvements! Almost the same graphics and gameplay for 3 years!
Now lets turn to FPS. When i was youg i liked to play in friends house a game called Medal of Honour, the first time i said "this is cool its like i'm in the war!" now a lot of FPS's are about WWII that suck balls!!! I like to play a game no just for killing those nasty nazis! I play the because i like the story and if in 10 fps released in a year 7 are WWII remakes that is just plain wrong.
I hope you enjoyed my blog, this is my first and ,if i don't turn my self into a lazy ass again i'll be back!
Thank you

Changes
A lot of it has to do with the age group of most gamers.
Back on the old consoles when video games were starting to make a profit, the main target audience was kids aged 8-12. But now, those same kids are aged 25+ adults, with their own $$$ to spend on games. Marketing has become more vicious, and the games are made to compete against each other.
I agree, it was better when games were made just for fun. But, the trend seems to be changing back to the roots lately.
If you think too many musicians now are just sellouts, doing it only for the money, then you are watching too much MTV and listening to the wrong radio stations.
There are literally hundreds of bands out there making amazing, honest music. Not just from the Punk genre. You just have to search for it, it will never be on MTV or commercial radio. The artists are snubbing TV and commercial radio, and instead embracing the internet and college radio stations. Which makes it harder to find the bands and they get less advertising, but they have a freedom that is not censored by anyone.
Go to your local INDEPENDENT Record store, and ask the dude behind the counter to suggest some new albums for you based on what you already listen you. That's why those stores exist, to sell amazing stuff deemed to "obscure" by the media fools.
Sorry to rant, but music is my passion.
I Completly agree!
Because that's my thing to!
I listen to a lot of independent music from my are and other arround the country i dont only like punk i like other types of musick like reggae, ska, metal, punk-ska, hard-rock and stuff like that. Punk is my favorite one and it was an example.
I don't watch MTV or listen Radio Station alot because of the bad quality of music.
I love music to I just dindt explain well.
