I GOT SUMTHIN' TO SAY! #1 - ScrewAttack Complaints
No, it's not what you think. I'm not going to complain about ScrewAttack. I'm not going to complain about the blog system. I'm not going to complain about IMOG not coming to Atlanta (although...). And, I'm not complaining about the way ScrewAttack is run. No, instead, I want to complain about those who complain about ScrewAttack.
Now, don't get me wrong. ScrewAttack is not perfect, and improvements can ALWAYS be made. However, there is a difference between constructive criticism and just flat out complaining.
For example, yesterday, blackboarder make some suggestions, such as making PSN gamedays, giving g1 points for more than just top posts, and getting Jared to do Nametags Season 2 (which I still have faith in happening, since Jared said when the show ends, they would reveal the name of the store, and it wasn't revealed). Kazekawa made a blog called What is Wrong with ScrewAttack? saying that the the site was slow, and was trying to figure out if it was a problem with SA, or if it was on his end.
But probably the best of these is Breaking the Silence: Community and Recent Posts, created by Silent_Protagonist. He talks about ways to improve the blog system, and make it all around better.
Now, what do all these have in common? They are giving CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM!
I can't tell you how many times I've seen someone complaining about something (and I'm not talking about on GameTrailers either). And a lot of the time, it's in a very... not nice way. For example, on the 10/08 edition of Hard News, Destin made the comment of SmackDown! vs. Raw 2009 going straight to the bargin bin. I posted this in response:
"I have to disagree with you Destin about SvR 2009. I personally thought 08 was a huge disappointment, and it looks like 09 will be the same. But, whether it is or not, the Smackdown games are HUGE sellers, and I have never seen one in any bargain bins, let alone straight to the bargain bin. WWE is extremely profitable in the video game section."

Heck, I remember when I first joined ScrewAttack, someone was complaining about what he hated about ScrewAttack. He gave two reasons. Tom leaving (which sucks, but ScrewAttack is still great) and... wanna take a guess?

Are you kidding me? He hated on ScrewAttack because of a shirt?!
He said it was just a total ripoff of another shirt (which was the point, it was a parody), and he argued that it was ruining the site!
Ugh...

For like 5 seconds I thought ahhh snap I am being called out but then I was like oh... yay me! Na, the reasons I wrote the blog you mention were:
1. To see if it was a community wide problem
2. Find out if a solution was in the works
I agree with this blog though. Saying things to improve the site and community is badass. Complaining about stuff that happened in the past or about evil shirts that are literally destroying the fabric of the site are just nonsense.

1) I think I was the one who said f*** you to Destin, I think I remember calling him D-Man before. It was a joke. I don't know for sure if it was me, but I do remember making a comment similar to that about his comment on SvR09.

1) I made some constructive criticism towards one of your videos, and you kinda freaked on me. You didn't take it calmly like you suggest people should in this blog.
2) I'VE GOT SOMETHIN' TO SAY, is a catch phrase used by one of the characters from that show. Jerry Blank, played by Amy Sedaris, would say that everytime she had learned her lesson by the end of the episode. Good stuff. One of the best comedies ever on television. It's a shame you missed it.

I posted a blog criticising screwattack, which in ways i felt bad for as it is a service we get for free keep on mind. But i had to say alot of what i said, it was kinda hateful and wasnt to constructed. This is all down to the that i think the old screwattack was sooo much better than the one now.
obviously craig can't do much about this hence the criticism not being constructive, but does anyway feel tht SA has become cheesy (just watch tht battletoads COTW.. so cringeworthy.)
Theres just somethiing tht annoys me and i can't put my finger on it, instead of moaning ill just not visit the site that often. I won't be missed i never was much of a respectful G1. (oh and do any of the interns or craig answer PM's? also why don't i ever get emailed back merch questions)

I asked for Craig's help, and contacted him numerous times for my site. He responded immediately, and was very helpful. Even during e3, when they were all busy. Either he would have missed your mail, or the mail wasn't worth replying to.

I really like this kinds of blogs, Always looking for the postive thing about something, always trying to find the way to fix things, what we call "constructive criticism". For when i see a "you suck" or "i hate this" comment i basically don't care, i answer to them "If you didn't like it why bother even commenting, why lose your time?". Just like Craig if someone tells me "you suck" i want him/her to tell me why, not just "becasue you suck" give me a CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENT.
