why are all rpgs great.
Is it that their long.Is it cause their all types of games at once.Or is it cause their incredible.
The way i see rpgs is that they are all the same.
Also what is the single greatest rpg in the world.

Halo is technically a FPS
Halo is technically a FPS (first person shooter). What commonly classifies an RPG is some sort of system which involves leveling up, looting, building skills, etc.
RPG's are great because developers who focus mainly on RPGs (Square Enix being the most popular) are amazingly talented and take enormous amounts of pride into their games.
Greatest RPG in the world? Man... I hate it when people asks this question. Why not play some and decide for yourself? My personal favorite RPG is Final Fantasy 3 for the SNES (FF6 in Japan and on the Gameboy Advance remake)

Ok you have a point about halo being a first person shooter but i know lots of people wuld argue that halo is an rpg. but the real question is ho cares.

Why are all puzzle games great?
Why are all platform games great?
...well, good games in general are great, but believe me in every one of those categories, there are some stinkers. Especially in the RPG department.
But I do agree RPGs are awesome in general. They're like interactive novels, and they're FUN.
My favorite? FFVI, Illusions of Gaia, Terranigma, Chrono Cross, Super Mario RPG, the list goes on and on.

Far from it. rpg's probably has the highest percentage of bad games. But the good ones, boy do they rock
