Top three Mega Men for Smash Bros.

You probably opened this expecting to see a rumor about a coming Smash 4 on the Nintendo *insert overly Japanese name here*. You are wrong. But let's say that was about to happen. Do you know how Sonic got into Brawl? There was a survey taken about a year before the game was released asking players what character everyone wanted to see in Brawl. You can probably figure it out from there. Now let's say that happened again and Sonic was already included(hopefully fixed a small amount). I'm pretty sure that most gamers would pick Mega Man. The question is: which one? Since his debut on the NES, several iterations of the blue bomber have been introduced. I'm listing the top three candidates. Like my last blog, this is solely MY OPINION. Don't call me an idiot or anything like that. Feel free to comment if you have any different ideas, though.

3. Mega Man (NES)
Really, do I need to justify this one? I can already see two different routes with this one. Either give him a full 3-d upgrade with all the bells and whistles, or go the way of Mr. Game and Watch and make him 2-d, flat as a pancake that can mysteriously stand on it's own. His stage could be in front of Dr. Wily's castle, with the Robot Masters occasionally coming in to join the fight, and his Final Smash would be a souped-up Mega Buster. His assist trophy would either be Rush or Protoman. The amazing thing is, I just came up with all that as I was writing it. My mind is amazing!

2. Mega Man Zero (GBA)
O.K. I'm probably gonna get some crap for this, But Zero on the game boy is just cool. To be honest, I haven't even played any of his games, but I played ZX on the DS, and I controlled someone who is pretty dang similar. He would be pretty good for a (slightly) darker image than cutesy NES Mega Man. Like I said, I didn't play any of the Zero games, so I don't have any bright ideas for a stage or assist trophy. But for a Final Smash, He could kinda copy Link and do an ULTRAAAAA COMBOOOOOO!!!!

1. Mega Man ZX (DS)
Again, probably gonna get some crap on this one. It could have been Mega Man X, But then I had a stroke of genius: Like Zelda, down-b could make him transform, but instead of two forms, he could become one of the five forms from the first game by pressing a direction on the pad or stick while in mid-transformation. Imagine, while in a heated slugging match in Model F, you could get sent flying away. With quick thinking, you switch to Model H in midair and air dash to safety. With careful management of the five forms, he could be the ultimate fighter. Not to mention creative combos. Although the developers may have to do extensive research to make sure there are absolutely NO glitches or overly cheap combos, it may just be worth it... I realize you are gonna have to have played to the game to know what the heck I just said. It isn't that hard to find on the internet, so I don't see too much potential confusion.

Again, feel free to comment with CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.

if they do have mega man in

if they do have mega man in the next smash (every one cross your fingers) it'd be the nes with maybe some other different versions as costumes. it'd be really cool if when he killed someone, he got they're regular b, like how he gets the robot master's weapon

IMO...

The only ones that really stand a chance of making it in a Smash Bros. game are Classic and X. I even made a moveset and stuff for Classic that would fit perfectly. The others aren't really iconic enough to pull it off.

hmmm i think they couldnt put zero and zx in the ssb together

they would be like identical characters, zero id understand, and original megaman of course, i think if anything they'd put protoman in, or bass (fuck yeah! zero doesn't have shit on bass) but what i think would be really hilarious is if they put in one of the old bosses like cutman (haha yeah right)

Toadman 4 Brawl!

Nah, seriously, if the Robot Masters were to be in an SSB game, it would be as part of the stage at best, but probably a trophy or sticker (assuming they would still have stickers)

You were right, you were gonna get crap :D

Not like you probably thought, though. I think if anything, Capcom should just team up with Nintendo and make some of that sweet, sweet fanboy love and just make a Super Smash Bros. Vs. Mega Man and include all of his incarnations and buddies, since there are so many.

1.) 8-bit because everybody wants it.
2.) Full updated pseudo-3D Mega Man with all the bells and whistles.
3.) Mega Man Trigger (or the Legends MM, whatever you want to call him)
4.) Mega Man.Exe
5.) Proto Man.Exe
6.) Bass.Exe
7.) Proto Man
8.) Bass
9.) Mega Man X (X series)
10.) Mega Man X (Zero series)
11.) Cyber Elf X (with his ceremonial tunic/uniform)
12.) Zero (X series)
13.) Zero (Zero series)
14.) Omega
15.) Sage Harpuia
16.) Fighting Fefnir
17.) Fairy Leviathan
18.) Phantom
19.) Sigma
20.) Dr. Weil
21.) Vent/Aile (with their transformation abilities like you mentioned above)
22.) Grey/Ashe (Model A only, could use ability to transform into opponents)

Props to you if you recognize all of the above, and there's still probably more that I'm not thinking of right now.

The way they'd manage all the new characters just for the character select screen is they'd have 2 tabs: 1 tab for regular Smash Characters, and 1 tab for Mega Man characters. Think about it: this idea could be one seriously kickass game.
