Hey guys,
I know I haven't posted much at all on Screwattack, but to be honest, not much has been going on with me. However, last weekend I was able to make it out to Tokyo Game Action and play Street Fighter 4 for the first time. I captured some matches and uploaded to Youtube, so I'll be posting up some of these on my blog tonight for all to see. Some first American footage of top players actually playing Street Fighter 4. Keep your eyes peeled and enjoy!
here is my first video of Street Fighter 4 footage straight from Tokyo Game Action I'm playing on the left as M.Bison (Boxer) while my friend NerdJosh is playing as Abel. More to come!

Gameplay footage of Street Fighter 4 taken during the 4-day launch event at Tokyo Game Action featuring Tony B (Boxer) against NerdJosh (Ryu). In this video, Tony B shows off some of his skills as he completes three full repetitions of the Boxer EX Dashing Upper hit string. However, as you'll see, the damage scales to next to nothing.

Gameplay footage from the SF4 launch party held at Tokyo Game Action. People have been asking for footage of my E.Honda after my 93 winstreak on Friday (that's right, I had 93 wins which took roughly 5 straight hours when I was unable to leave the machine!), well here it is.

This was a match that went down on Sunday of the 4 day event at the SF4 launch party at TGA. It was the second time I'd faced off against a Gouki and the first time someone knew what the heck the were doing with him. I got DESTROYED! Enjoy!

More footage of the SF4 launch event at Tokyo Game Action. The first ranbat (Japanese style tournament event) will be on November 1, and I will be taking MUCH more footage!

Duuuudeee...
What the hell are you doing? All of these blogs could've been combined to make one solid blog. For God's sake, PLEASE stop posting so many blogs. Stick to one!

I've taken care of it.
I agree wholeheartedly that he only needs one blog post and should edit that one post as new videos pop up OR wait until all his videos are ready then submit his one blog post.
Final broadcast: 9/17/2008
oops :(
This is my first real blog post anywhere, never really did it anywhere, so I didn't really know how to do it properly. Sorry about that, if I have related things like this I'll group them together from now on. My fault, I'm just a stupid old man!
The SF Name Game
Before it was deleted, someone asked "did you mean Balrog and not Boxer?"
Very good question. The reason that I called him Boxer is because in the original Japanese version of Street Fighter, he's actually called M.Bison (a parody of Mike Tyson). However, when SF came to the states, Capcom swapped around the names of 3 of the boss characters, basically to avoid a lawsuit from Tyson claiming they stole his likeness.
In the original japanese games, Balrog is called M.Bison, Vega is called Balrog, and M.Bison is called Vega. So in competitive circles, these characters are called as follows:
Boxer = US Balrog/Japanese M.Bison
Claw = US Vega/Japanese Balrog
Dictator = US M.Bison/Japanese Vega
Some pretty interesting trivia!
Hey Phil, Good to see you
Hey Phil,
Good to see you again man. How long you been playing SF4 now? Did you freakin move to Japan or something?! Either way, congrats on 94 straight. you're a beast.
Craig, long time no talk
Craig, long time no talk bro. SF4 has only been out in arcades worldwide for roughly a month now, but the arcade I was at (www.tokyogameaction.com) bought FOUR cabinets so I was literally there for four days straight during their launch event. So I guess the answer is, I've only played it for four days, but I REALLY played it for four days straight.
Thanks for the congrats, it was pretty hard holding in my piss for 5 hours and not losing my nerve, but I did it. Then someone who had actually played this game in Japan stepped up, and we had a great match....of course nobody recorded it....and he beat me. Dammit!
There's a tournament on November 1st and I'll be there recording, I'll definitely post up the videos from that event as well. I bought a buttload of memory for my camera so there will be many more videos after these.
By the way, is Screwattack planning on attending Magfest again? I might make my way down there again, I had a lot of fun last year.
