Oh yeah, I remember it was Puck-Man. I watched the 80's cartoon as well. Isn't there supposed to be an animated feature length Pac-Man movie coming out?
i saw it back in 99 in the arcade house at Liseberg "the bigest and best themepark in Sweden" it had a big sticker over "puck" with "pac" on it, it looked strange so i took a closer look an saw a small pice of the grafic with "puck" on it.
Goooood Job Braeden, G1 submission right ? GG my fellow Host, did you know that PUcK MAN, stood for the sound FX (in japanese) for eating that was " PAKU PAKU" ???
and so "PAKU MANU" went to well in standard European Caracter... PUCK MAN :D

I remember hearing about the ghosts' original names. And yes, those are definitely it. Its crazy just how direct they were, even with funky translating. It never mattered where you are in the world, it just defined those ghosts. And yeah the name change, its an odd story. (nice edit with bleeps).
As of late, I still enjoy PacMan, the Championship Edition. Fun, and still challenging.

wasn't it atari that first created pacman? i resemble reading in the ultimate history of videogames that namco was ataris contact in japan. and pacman sold really slow becuse of the yakuza mafia making pirated copies of the game. and becuse the machines only were created in america and the shipping was to slow, Masaya Nakamura wanted to meet nolan bushnell to discuss making them in japan. but at the meeting wich took place england for some reason nolan was to drunk to make any sense.
anyway thats just some useless knowledge i studied up on :D
