PSP can do a lot of stuff, an N64 emulator is actually working very well, they got Mario 64 to run at full speed(30FPS) with(sadly) no sound. The wii has to be best at modding though, the N64 emulator has most games running at a full 30(or 60) FPS with sound they also plan on having netplay(online, so yeah there could be Super Smash brothers online with no lag maybe?).


Still, if this thread gets closed I would open another one, because not one person has mentioned a legitimate piracy site and piracy methods. Modding does not equal piracy, it equals apps(so yeah, your PSP is pretty much an iPhone that can get a fart app!)

I'm keeping an eye on this thread since it's a personal interest of mine.  Please try to keep it legal and do not link to any rom sites.  Modding is about much more than just "i want free games," it's about pushing the hardware beyond it's normal limits to do the impossible.

Yeah, I mean the PSP can be used as a controller! It's so epic, it's not just emulators or piracy, it's got very cool stuff.

I've never truly modded a console. I have a M3 for my DS and tried to fix my 360 by changing its x-clamps and such but that's it.

I has R4 with YSMENU, DS hacks help you so much, you don't have to carry like all your carts around, all backedup in one sd card.

I've only modded a PS1, and don't own any handhelds, should really get a Psp for emulators and stuff.

Yeah it can emulate n64, yeah there are some good games for PSP that are pretty cheap.

If you wanna hack one look for the slim 2001 model. the brites and pspgos are unhackable and the psp 1000(phat) are all hackable.

I modded my original PSX so I could play import games.  I also had an R4 flash cart for my DS to play some home brew games.

I want to mod my PSP on being able to play a PS1 emulator but I'm just too damn lazy to do so.

You don't need to mod your PSP to play PS1, you can buy em on the PS store... if you wanna play your own PS1 games then rip em(your own copy) and google a guide.
