We feel extremely lucky to do what we do. When you break it down to the bare bones, we here at ScrewAttack makes videos... about video games. That is so cool and we will never overlook that.
ScrewAttack.com launched February 15th, 2006 to an audience of zero. Actually, if it was possible it would be more like an audience of negative 1. No one knew who ScrewAttack was or what we were trying to accomplish. We originally had only had one feature - our weekly podcast SideScrollers. ScrewAttack founder "Stuttering" Craig, quickly realized that doing something every week and rehashing news from other sites would not be enough to get noticed so he quickly made a decision that would distinguish something from the rest of the internet immediately - produce "Something Original... Every Freakin' Day".

The next 4 years was kind of a blur so let's sum it up with this snazzy timeline:

April 2006 - First videos start to appear on ScrewAttack

June 2006 - The Angry Nintendo Nerd begins to work with ScrewAttack.

October 2006 - The first two ScrewAttack Top 10s appear on GameVideos.com amassing over 550,000 downloads. It was then we realized we were on to something.

November 2006 - The PS3 Launch Line for Charity is held. ScrewAttack and GameVideos worked together again as Stuttering Craig stood in line for 5 days to get the upcoming PS3. During the time Craig was in line an auction was being held on ebay to sell off his spot in line and his purchase with the full proceeds going to Child's Play Charity.

February 2007 - ScrewAttack began working with GameTrailers.com in a relationship that still continues today. GT hosted several of ScrewAttack's original series including the Video Game Vault, the Angry Video Game Nerd (who changed his name when Craig suggested it for legal reasons) and ScrewAttack Top 10s.

May 2007 - Three additional interns to help with various duties. This was very beneficial as it produced two very talented ScrewAttack personalities - Ben and Jose.

June 2007 - The first Iron-Man of Gaming is held in conjunction with the Video Gamers League. The tournament is held at a Cyber Athlete Professional League (CPL) event with the winner, Chris "Kumachine" Delp winning $1,000 and the Iron-Man of Gaming Championship belt.

July 2007 - Stuttering Craig and Handsome Tom fly to Vancouver, BC Canada to appear in the Uwe Boll film "Far Cry". The g1 community funded the trip for the duo. After the trip Craig went on record to say that he felt bad asking the community to fund their trip and that he would never ask the community to do anything like that again.

February 2008
- ScrewAttack changes video hosting from revver to blip only to have countless other websites follow their move effectively shutting down revver and bringing blip to the forefront of gamers everywhere.
- Based on the overwhelming success of it's content on GameTrailers.com, ScrewAttack inks it's second deal with GT.

March 2008 - Handsome Tom is let go of his duties from ScrewAttack.  Nervous Nick was hired and everyone was happy.

April 2008 - Maxifent Corey and Daily Destin are hired.  ScrewAttack launched a number of new shows to a great response....and people wanted to know where Handsome Tom was.

May 2008 - The third iteration of ScrewAttack.com is released. ScrewAttack's first daily show debuts, Hard News.  Destin posts his first VGV on GameTrailers.com and promptly had his ass raped.

June 2008 - Iron-Man of Gaming 2008 is held at the Grapevine Convention Center in Grapevine, TX. The winner, Harrison Fluster, takes home $10,000 cash.

July 2008 - IGN.com and ScrewAttack ink a deal for "The Armory" to appear on IGN.com.
October 2008 - After a few weeks of teasing a special announcement with the letters "S" "G" and "C", ScrewAttack announces it's own gaming convention appropriately called the "ScrewAttack Gaming Convention".September 21st, 2008 - The greatest day in ScrewAttack history - Chad was hired.

March 2009 - After generating over 120 million downloads for GameTrailers.com in it's first two years ScrewAttack inks a third deal with GT.

May 2009 - ScrewAttack announces that they have acquired it's own video game store in Highland Village, TX. The store is named GameAttack after a community contest is held to choose the name.

July 2009 - Over 1000 g1s from all over the world converge on the DFW Westin Hotel and Convention Center over July 4th weekend to attend SGC 2009. Labeled by some as a three day slumber party for gamers, guests include Atari founder Nolan Bushnell and Jack Thompson... but not Handsome Tom.  Over the weekend Craig is asked "what really happened to Handsome Tom" 1742 times.

November 2009 - After months of preparation, the current iteration of ScrewAttack, affectionately known as "version 4" is launched and we couldn't be happier to be the platform that's allowed thousands on talented content producers to be seen.

As we said, it's been a pretty big blur and chances are we may of actually missed something along the way but that doesn't mean it's not important. Let us know if we have!PS- sometime along the line Chad, Nick and Bryan were hired... and Ryan was later determined to be Jocelyn the Intern. The end.

But anyway I have been here for almost a year and I have had a great time every time I type screwattack.com into the URL, good job guys. Oh and when is V4 actually getting started?

Every game has a beginning and an end. What happens in between is what matters.
