Rockin' Deal: How I got Rock Band 1/2 and ACDC Live for just $79. [$87 w/ CA tax]

By ZIMdudeAlchemist on September 14, 2009, 9:32 pm

[Blogger's Note: rockband79.com does not offer AC/DC Live track pack anymore, but Rock Band 2 is still included in the bundle.] Peripheral music games now-a-days are so expensive (Just look at the Limited Edition bundle of The Beatles: Rock Band), sure it costs a lot more to produce these devices, but at least you get your money's worth for the experience. Unfortunately, I barely have a job and live off of EDD unemployment insurance checks. Fortunately, I discovered an ad on GameTrailers one day offering Rock Band: Special Edition with Rock Band 2 for $80, and it also included FREE shipping [although I had to pay the damn tax, which sucks for me, who happens to live in budget-****** California] and at the time, they were also throwing in the AC/DC Live track pack. This offer was too good to pass up, but the thing was... I don't own neither a PS3 nor 360. Then again, I happen to own Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and Guitar Hero: Metallica for the PS2 just because I had the Guitar Hero guitars for it already, which is good, because the Rock Band instruments for the PS3 are compatible with the PS2. I was in luck, so I went ahead and ordered myself the PS3 version, and a week later, *BAM!*, UPS came to the door with my package! I was so happy, when I got my Rock Band bundle, I immediately went to the kitchen to grab a knife to open up my package, set up the drums, fired up Guitar Hero: Metallica and played "For Whom The Bell Tolls" on Expert drums. OH, HAPPY DAY! Sure, I don't have use for the PS3 games for now, but when I get my PS3 Slim, at least I'll have Rock Band ready to play. If you want to take advantage of this deal, go ahead! Go to http://www.rockband79.com and order Rock Band: Special Edition with Rock Band 2 (360 or PS3) plus FREE SHIPPING for just $80 [$87 w/ CA sales tax].

I was so ready to take advantage of that deal... until I saw they didn't ship to Canada. :(

That's almost as bad as region locking videos. I tried to watch a Muse concert from the BBC site, but said it's "not available in your country"
