I am here to show you the 5 most KICK ASS SHOOTERS! This could be from the N64 or the ps2 ANYTHING, and by shooters I mean TPS, FPS, and maybe even rail shooters?



Number 5: Doom SERIES


This game... boy is it just amazing! The game itself is spectacular bringing in some sort of puzzle atmosphere with the whole action of enemies ganging on
you! With the most unique guns and level layouts this game has to be the best shooter for any computer! This thing runs in 16 bits(so yeah! your crappy intel graphics card can run this, your computer can run it 100% guaranteed! as long as you have windows). This game has boss fights, puzzles, platforming, and oh yes a ton of secrets! You looking for this game? well if you are a modder it is available for: PS2, DS, PSP, and WII all you need is the OFFICIAL doom wad(buy it and google it). This game is so low in graphics that almost any single device can handle this. Definitely one of the best shooters. While the modern adaptation of Doom(Doom 3) isn't as great, it still is a decent first person shooter.

Number 4: Halo SERIES


"My friend told me this game sucks! he says to be Call of Duty instead!" Well, that IS a shocker seeing as this series has been milked to death since day one... people know Halo on the 360, original xbox, and PC. Yes it has been milked to death, but does this mean it is a bad game? NO. Never enough Halo! all the Halo games have been instant success and to this very day Halo Trial still have hundreds of members online. Although the game did have a rather weak storyline, it's multi-player is pretty nice and it had a great online play for PC users(no xbox live for xbox users). Now for Call of Duty fanboys,  if there was never a Halo game, Call of Duty could have never existed OR would have horrible online. Still we remember Halo for getting everyone ADDICTED to FPS!

Number 3: Quake SERIES


Id returns to the FPS scene, this time with a focus of competitive action. While maintaining those puzzle and platforming stages a new mode introduced people with an action packed multi-player game. This was most likely to be the first ever FPS to use a mouse for aiming with your cross hair, and there is more to it than just Quake 1, there is Quake 2, and not to mention the infamous Quake 3 arena, the first game to actually bring online FPS console gaming to you on the sega dreamcast(you are welcome Call of Duty and halo >.<. Quake 3 was the definition of online FPS gaming, still fast paced and incredibly action packed. While the online service was discontinued for both PC and Dreamcast id understood and released a new browser based game, Quake Live! Technically Quake Live is just Quake 3 Arena with online only, free to register and play! To try it head on over to quakelive.com register and follow the rest of the steps! Now back to the game, the modern adaptation(same as Doom) is a bit meh with alright graphics and O.K. multi-player. Quake is definitely the mother of ONLINE FPS.

Number 2: Gears of War SERIES


Now... I am not a 360 fanboy, but this is the truth, any other shooters you have seen with such unique controls and game mechanics? NO. The first of its kind, Gears of War brings great multi-player, great story line, and not to mention smooth controls. While the game does have flaws due to the character models being a little to stiff(walking run, grenade flying you on top of cover and the lag run you get) the game has to be the first third person shooter to ever have been successful! The characters are very vibrant, the graphics are top notch, the guns are incredibly unique in both design and thought, and YES the story-line is one of the best you will ever find in a shooter!

Number 1: Uncharted SERIES


This list sorta looks like I am a fanboy correct? I mean I could have put Perfect dark or Wolfenstein maybe Call of Duty... but why this? It's for the Playstation 3, you heard bad reviews about that thing since day one, well now it's day 1,460 and guess what? it's not as bad as people said it was. Now let me get back on the game, I know this isn't a shooter... it has shooter elements however. Okay... where to begin? Okay, epic story-line, epic characters, epic online multi-player, and probably the best graphics ever in a video game. This seems like a fanboy list I know... But have you played it? Name another shooter where you can climb on a wall throw grenades and shoot enemies with your pistol? NONE COMES TO MIND. It's unique, it has multi-player that is actually sort of like gears of war(I am saying this because there is only team games) the game has everything perfect, besides the fail melee online.
You have a ps3, you need this game... the best shooter ever. Now I know there are others (Wolfenstein, Medal of Honor, Perfect Dark, Duke Nukem, and Call of Duty) but that ranks up above in the 6-10.
