Many fans of Final Fantasy VII, considered one of the best games of all time, want Square to make a remake for the PS3 console. I am among one of them, and I really, really hope the do it. BEWARE: SPOILERS BELOW In case you don't know about all of these posts all over the internet, I'll explain it for you At E3 2005, Square Enix showed a Tech Demo for the PS3 by recreating the opening scene from Final Fantasy VII, showing off it's beautiful graphics. Claim that the demo was for demonstration purposes: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/614/614859p1.html And even the ending for Crisis Core: DO NOT WATCH IF YOU WANT CRISIS CORE FINAL FANTASY VII SPOILERS OR FINAL FANTASY VII SPOILERS! Also, Square Enix made some FMV quality artwork that also gave some fans a boner when they saw them for two reasons 1. Male fans saw this and instantly gained a boner Tifa looks even hotter than before. *doing* 2. They also showed most of the characters in their original Final Fantasy VII garb. Sorry that I can't find a site with all of the characters artwork. It is the Tech Demo and artwork that truthfully sparked this rumor. But Square denies ever having plans to make it, but they might be lying... But, I have some things that I hope the change, keep, take out or do not put in: KEEP: The Final Fantasy VII Formula I love it the way it is: 3 person party, random battles, and Turn-Based battles. Items Don't take out items! Keep summons, magic, items, weapons, materia etc. Keep most of the story Most important of all, keep the story the same! It won't be as shocking since everyone knows Aeris (NOT AERITH!) gets killed at the end of Disc 1. Keep all the twists, turns, retardedness with it. Actually, change two parts of the story listed below. CHANGE: Characters Change Yuffie and Cait Sith so that they are not AS sucky. Change Yuffie's annoying character so that she shuts up every once in a while. Change Cait Sith so that he isn't as weak. Minigames Keep all of the minigames, but change a few too. Change the dating minigame so that Yuffie IS NOT in it, and stop forcing Cloud to like Aeris. Sorry Fangirls, logically speaking and I don't want to flame, but Aeris is dead, they are not going to marry, have kids, or even have any lemons in fan fiction outside of Disc 1 of the actual game. Keep Barret for all I care, I just ignore yaoi. They lose important elements of the story to keep us entertained. They should change two parts. One: Add another little twist to the story. Two:Stop trying to focus on romance in the story, like Final Fantasy VIII's story of an emo guy fallin' in love with a ***** (One of the main reasons I hate Final Fantasy VIII). Don't have Aeris's starting values for the date minigame at 50 and Tifa's at 30, even it out so it doesn't repeat the whole romantic arguments. Date mechanics: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Date_Mechanics Rating Change the rating to M so that the date minigame can be more fun, like God of War's minigames (SO STOP MAKING FANBOY COMMENTS!)...except without Barret and Cloud...doing things...mostly just with Tifa (One again, my opinion)and actually have blood. Crisis Core, Sephiroth gets stabbed in the lower torso with the Buster Sword, no blood, Cloud stabbed in the torso with Masamune, no blood. Zack lying on the ground after fighting off thousands (Too many to count, anyway) of Shinra Grunts, Blood.(Then again, it WAS an FMV) MORE SUPERBOSSES After beating Final Fantasy VII when it came out, got it stolen, and buying it one eBay two weeks ago, I remember there being only 2 Superbosses: Ruby WEAPON and Emerald WEAPON. ADD MORE! It will add more replay value! Make your fans happy Square Enix. More Dungeons You know Final Fantasy IV Advance, Final Fantasy V Advance, and Final Fantasy VI Advance's extra dungeons? Add some similar ones. Lunar Ruins was awesome, so add something like that! TAKE OUT: One thing: Cait Sith's Scottish Accent Advent children haunts me do this day because of Cait Sith's only weapon being his accent because hit giant Moogle disappeared. KEEP OUT:Real time RPG formula Final Fantasy XII was pretty good, I like how Final Fantasy XIII is doing, but Final Fantasy VII isn't one of those games that should be real time. If they did that, id wouldn't be a Final Fantasy VII Remake. More Characters I'm letting Crisis Core off of this one because they needed new characters in order to actually have a story, which it does, but adding more characters to a Final Fantasy VII game ***** it all up. Look at Dirge of Cerberus! Yeah...it speaks for itself. They might mess up the story if they do such a thing. No more new music! Final Fantasy VII has some of my favorite music of all time. Don't add any more music so that we might just be sad if we don't have Nobuo Uematsu anymore. Have the composer from Crisis Core enhance the music! Crisis Core's tracks were all good. But this a precautionary measure. Well that's it!
