Machinarium review

I just finished the game Machinarium for PC. An independent point-n-click game by Amanita Design. This game seems so damn overlooked, and thats just sad, so I thought I'd give it the review it deserves. Anyway.. Graphics - Ever since I first saw it (and I think most people will agree) I was blown away by the amazing, hand drawn visuals. The game has a so damn outstanding artwork that I really can't begin to describe it, you'll have to look for yourselves. The ambiance and rusty setting of Machinarium is so incredibly beautiful. 10/10 Gameplay - As mentioned above, Machinarium is a point-n-click game. So the game is only played using the mouse. But there's so much variety in gameplay. Puzzles, Mini-games, brain teasers and more. If you want a hint for example, get redy to play a (though short and kinda simple) round of 2d-shooting. The game is a bit linear though, but not all the time. If you use hints in every scene, the game can be finished quite fast. But if you don't, be prepared for a quite lenghty but rewarding brainteaser of a game. 9/10 Story - I won't spoil anything, but here it goes. You start of as a broken robot in a dump outside the legendary city of Machinarium, the story then unfolds over the rest of the game. Our little hero must use all his skills to stop the Black Cap Brotherhood from destroying the head of the city and save his beloved. The story is really cute, and it got some chuckles out of me too. Surprisingly engaging. 8.5/10 Music - Dear god. I said that the visuals was stunning, but the music.. Holy s***. So beautiful, some of the music made me stop, and just sit an listen to it for minutes and minutes. Tomas Dvorak made a perfect job, there's no other word to describe it. Perfect. Overall, THE best OST to any game I've ever played. And the music that isn't "beautiful" is just so damn good anyways, seeing the cute little robot dance to a streetband (a damn good streetband I might add) really sums up my feelings for that music, haha. 11/10 Overall - 9.5/10 A perfect point-n-click adventure. A must play for all. The pricetag of 20 $ only makes it even more appealing! It is available through Steam, but I recommend this link: http://machinarium.net/demo/. Here, you'll get the soundtrack too, for free! The demo is available here too. Edit - I looked it up on IGN after writing this, turns out the average user rating is 9.5.. Haha, kinda funny.
