SNES memory lane #4-Super Mario World part 3

Look familar?

Photobucket

Yup, that's Bowser's airship from Super Mario Bros. 3! You have to get through this in order to advance to the final world. Lots of ghosts here.

SNES memory lane #4-Super Mario World part 2

Continuing on from earlier today.

This is the 4th world, the Twin Bridges. You only need to complete one of the bridges to beat the game (both if you want get everything.) It's a pretty small area if you only want to do the normal route.

SNES memory lane #4-Super Mario World part 1

Super Mario World...THE best selling SNES game of all time. If you owned a Super Nintendo, you played this game because if you didn't, you were sitting under a rock (and you obviously bought one of the few bundles that didn't have this game included in it.)

June and July schedule for Memory Lane reviews

Here's what to expect this month and next:
June 19-20th: Super Mario World
June 26-27th: Madden '96
No reviews the next two weeks after as I'll be in Disney World
July 17-18th: Donkey Kong Country
July 24-25th: WWF Raw

SNES memory lane #3-Super Tennis

I have great memories of Super Tennis. It was more then likely one of the first sports titles I ever played and it's addictive powers grabbed me right away.

SNES memory lane #2-Mortal Kombat

(Deep breath)

MORTALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL KOMBATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

It's been awhile. G1 Quartermen game day today at 9 P.M. EST!

Just reminding those who are in the group that we'll be playing TMNT: The Arcade game and Uno tonight at the above mentioned time.

If you have both games but haven't joined, either PM me or send me a message through live. Also, I will be on 2 hours before the gameday so if you want to play me in some of the other online games I have, send me an invite. I have these games in addition to the two above:
3D Ultra Minigolf
Aegis Wing
Bankshot Billiards 2
Bomberman Live
Brain Challenge
Carcassonne
Cloning Clyde
Frogger
Jetpac Refuelled
Marble Blast Ultra
Metal Slug 3

Insert quarter into memory slot #1-3D Ultra Mini Golf

I've decided to do another regular series of reviews, this time involving Xbox Live Arcade titles. I'll put these up when I have extra time. These are not as in depth as the SNES Memory Lane reviews and will only be a paragraph or 2.

SNES memory lane #1-Tetris Attack

Photobucket

Ah Tetris Attack! You are indeed one of my favorite puzzle games of all time! You are also responsible for one of the first contests I won (A hat won on a scratcher given out by Blocbuster)...if only I could find it.

Welcome all!

This is the first post of my blog. But this isn't going to be a blog about my life or excessively whining about games. This is going to be about the system of my childhood, the SNES:

Owned and still operating after over 15 years!
