I’d like to bring you a special review today. A review of “The Douchebag Couple I Walked By On the Way to McDonalds. (The McDonalds DLC for Grand Theft Auto) Okay it’s not Downloadable content, but after this encounter I seriously think it should be.

I love hidden gems. Knowing about and liking a great obscure game that nobody’s ever heard of makes me feel like I’m in some sort of special club. It’s all the more sweet when you discover it by yourself, without any knowledge of the game. There are many obscure cult favourite clubs I belong to, and the most recent one is The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night… on Game Boy Advance.

Hey there SA. I just thought I'd show you a sample of a project I work on every once in a while. I love strategy guides, so I've always wanted to make my own. However, I don't have the patience to make an entire guide for a single game. So I decided to make a "Tips and Tricks" book, but not of obvious stuff everyone knows, more like little strategies you can use.

I’ve been hiding this for a while, but I have magical powers. Magical video game impulse shopping powers. Magical impulse-purchasing-of-games-that-were-critical-flops-but-were-actually-pretty-cool-and-have-a-rabidly-loyal-cult-fanbase… powers. How can I prove this? Well…
Touch Detective: Impulse buy, huge cult following, scored poorly, now one of my favourite games.

Tired of not seeing so many games I wish were in the Video Game Vault, I decided to make my OWN episode of the Video Game Vault! Don't worry, I won't turn this into a series, and even if I do make another, I'll continue to mention that the format came from ScrewAttack.

Never let it be said that I don’t get myself into some pretty ridiculous situations. Every time I do something new when taking transit, generally I’ll get into some impossibly stupid situation that you’d more likely see in a Bugs Bunny Cartoon than in real life.
Basically what I’m trying to say is, I suck at using transit.

So I just got something super awesome today, so I finally am able to make this blog. I have a bunch of cool things, so I decided to show you 10 of the cooler ones. Of course I’m a huge nerd, so these “cool” things are mainly really nerdy things that I think are neat. With that said, here’s some cool/nerdy stuff!

It’s not often that I find a new game that I’d consider perfect, but if anything comes close to that, it’s Mighty Flip Champs on DSiWare. An excellent Puzzle Platformer that really stands out amongst the crowd, even though it’s a DSiWare exclusive. Still, I wouldn’t be able to call it absolutely perfect because of a few minor nitpicks.

Hey there. I'm just here to inform you if you haven't already heard, that you should NOT update your Wii to version 4.2. It has been reported that it may cause disc booting errors, other bugs, and even completely bricking your system. For more info, be sure to read this article on IGN.

Hey! After many months of the podcast being dead, and several attempts from Elmo3000 and Thunderbird beating a dead horse hoping it will somehow come back to life, I resurrect Podcast 7.9 for one more episode. Now don't get your hopes up and expect us to do more, as I just happened to be in the mood for this.

So I've had trouble finishing games recently, and I started thinking how I would be much more eager to finish them if I could get achievements/trophies. (btw, I like the idea of Trophies better.) However all the current systems I own don't have such a feature. Still, I was determined to create an achievement system for Wii, DS, and PSP. Eventually I got an idea of how to make one.

Okay, so I'm not one to promote people on the internet all that often, but there is one extremely talented artist I simply MUST tell you about. She's a plush toy maker who does commissions for people online, and she's extremely talented. You can visit her live journal here...

So the Nintendo DSi was released a while ago, and to most Nintendo fans it wasn’t that important, and was immediately snubbed. Heck, I was the same. I said “I’m never buying a DSi because it’s stupid”. Then Mighty Flip Champs was announced, and I simply had to go buy one.

You know what stinks now? Fan art. Why you may ask? Because the term “fan art” has been turned into “fan-service art”. How many times have you been cruising an art site, type in a favourite character from a show/game, and had the most popular ones appear first and have them all be dirty pictures? Are there really no artists who know how to draw and can resist drawing naked people?

I’m a big fan of the Touch Detective games on the DS. They’re clever, well written, have unique characters, have an awesome visual style, and they’re fu...they’re well designe... well okay maybe they weren’t exactly fun or well designed, but they were certainly entertaining.

I have to admit to never really being into the Sonic franchise. The first Sonic game I played was Sonic Rush on the DS, and I didn’t really get into it. Once I got my Wii in 2008 I downloaded Sonic 1, and really enjoyed it. I bought a used Genesis later on with Sonic 2, and thought it was awesome. So as you can see I’m not really a fan of the series, but more of an observer.
