What it means to be a g1

With my recent nomination for g1 of the year, it led to me to do a lot of thinking about what exactly it means to be a g1.

Being a g1 means...

1. Knowing that Kain isn't charging you for a shave and a hair cut when he says "2 bits".

2. Knowing that swordsmen that happen to wander around on the site are overly knowledeable about video game music.

3. Knowing that hate_breeder does anything and everything except breed hate.

4. Knowing that Chefprotoss does not literally mean that what he is always talking about is "Meh".

Something wrong with the forums?

I have been unable to log onto the forums now for about a week or so. It does not accept my password and have attempted to get a new password but no e-mail arrives. I gave up this morning and tried to simply make a new account and it told me I am forbidden from doing so.

I am not the most frequent forum poster in the world but one of the big reasons I have rarely used the ScrewAttack forums is because it often rejects my password. I think I have reset it... 4 times due it suddenly rejecting my password which doesn't change...

Failures in blogging communities and segregation due to preference

Hello everyone, I woke up this morning hoping to read everybodies comments on my new Japan Now! ep and of course, I expected to see a few bad comments perhaps about it being boring or about it now having other segments, but no, what I did read surprised me.

Japan Now! #9 - Pocky Special (Over 16 types of Pocky from Japan)

Greetings everyone and welcome to yet another episode of Japan Now! This week my wife and I searched for quite a few days in hopes of finding as many types of Pocky as possible, one of which was a 30 minute drive away for one type.

Be sure to stick around till 5:25 seconds or so for some nonsense.

Japan Now! #6 - 10/12/2008 Part 2 (Second Half of Tokyo Game Show, Cosplay, Recap)

Greetings everyone. This concludes my coverage of Tokyo Game Show 2008. I hope everyone could enjoy an inside glimpse of the conventions insanity. It was totaly worth the effort though and going as a reporter made the whole thing more meaningful.

Kazekawa Presents: Japan Now! #6 - 10/12/2008 (Full coverage of the Tokyo Game Show 2008)

The week you have all been waiting for. I spent a good 8 hours going to, at and coming home from the Tokyo Game Show 2008.

As requested by fellow coherts Kain_Kusanagi and Chefprotoss, there are booth girls a plenty. Forgive the music as I had this strange craze to listen to Super Mario RPG all day.

Remember, this is part 1 of 2 and only covers the first hall. Part 2 which comes out in a day or so will cover: Hall 2 and 3, recap of the show and I will show off all of my swag and goodies.

'Twas the Night Before the Tokyo Game Show - A poem by Kazekawa

'Twas the night before the Tokyo Game Show, when all through the room

Not a game was being played, not even old Doom;

The cameras were hung by the monitor with care,

In hopes that some booth babes soon would be there;

The console games were nestled all snug in their cases,

While hand held games were put in their places;

When on the internet there arose such a clatter,

I sprang to my desktop to see what was the matter.

Away to the game sites I clicked like a flash,

Tore open the magazines and prepared for some clash.
