"With me out of the HQ getting some last second things ready for the Iron-Man it's time to see what everyone can do on their own. This week Corey, Destin, Ben and Jose all come together as one for a solid 40 minutes of the best gaming podcast that has nothing to do with gaming."

I thought that was last weeks podcast...

NY-Law

Some wrong Infos in the Hard News-Part today:

The new law doesnt force young people to show their ID when buying a game. They still can buy any game they want.

The law was blocked last year, so they needed to take that out.

The new law has two major points:
-All games need to carry an ESRB-Rating
-All Homeconsoles need to have parental control mechanisms

Actually all games/consoles have these, so everything stays like it is. But now its by law!...well if the senator signes it...

Hey, thanks...

I made a thread about it in the forums and now I feel like an idiot.

Oh well.

Blue Streak

I have Blue Streak on DVD XDXD.

"Some people think football is a matter of life and death, I can assure them it is much more serious than that."

I got mentioned!

I got mentioned! WHOO!

Yeah, I better start saving up cause next year's IMOG will kick more ass and of course that means MORE epic parties and craziness

ID for M Rated Games

I was a little surprised to learn this isn't already an industry standard. The only people upset by this are too young to vote.

i think...

i had to show ID once or twice not too often.

they should really make showing ID for game purchases though.

i try to stop my sister from playing gory games but it doesn't exactly help when she's actually very interested in movie's like Saw. -.-

If she is not hurting anyone

If she is not hurting anyone by it then who the hell cares?

my first concert...

allman brothers, around ... 4, 5 years ago

then it was 3 days grace, which was awesome cause my friend's band was an opening band for them

after that it was alice cooper

Drunken Wheelchair guy

I was listening to the podcast, just thought i would post this up. We don't actually do field sobriety test in Australia its just the breathalyzer test. Also Craig, Fosters is actually Australia's import beer, no one over here drinks it cause its not very good :P

Sidescroller's isn't getting

Sidescroller's isn't getting enough love. ;o

Craig, the reason people are

Craig, the reason people are saying that New York's bill to card gamers is an unconstitutional freedom-of-speech violation is because it violates the rights of the game makers themselves; not the purchaser.

Think of it this way. Your an entertainer. You have the right express yourself any way you want. For some reason, though, the government has arbitrarily decided that if you charge money for said entertainment via a movie, video game, or... oh, say... a entertainment website, they can ENFORCE some sort of screening process for your potential customers. Apparently, you can express something for free, but if you charge money for it, the government seems to think they have the right to step in on your business. That's the part that people have issue with.

And yes, if they can make a law that legislates video game purchases, then they can make laws that legislate entertainment on the internet. Don't think that they won't. You should always oppose legislative babysitting.

Personally, I don't care what it is: Porn, cigarettes, movies, etc. The government should NEVER have the right to enforce such restriction policies between businesses and their clients. If parents don't want their kids to see certain games, then they need to get rid of the video game system. ...Or seriously consider the responsibilities involved BEFORE having children.

And don't whine about how hard it is to be a parent. I'm tired of people thinking that just because it's hard to raise children, that the government should step in and make it easier. Nobody put a gun to your head and made you have a child. Stop expecting the government to legislate our rights away to help ease the burden of someone else's responsibilities.

Yeah, a sexy girl beating up bad guys. You love it.

Dude, I'm the one who

Dude, I'm the one who brought up the story. Why did you address this to Craig? :(

Anyway, I do have a question. Are movies currently regulated by the government, or is music? I know we have the movie/music rating sort of system, but is that government regulated?

maybe...

he thinks that craig is the god... of screwattack.

The Dells

Qhoray for the Dells Long live noah's ark

Great choices

Killer Instinct, Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom, Dungeons and Dragons, and Galaga (holy shit there a verity, no joke), all are very awesome. Killer Instinct needs a revamp, or at least a comeback in a versus game, I miss Chief Thunder, Sabrewulf, and Orchid (they were awesome).

Weird Al Yankovic is boss, Amish paradise style

galaga!!!

i know this may sound like a playground story you would hear at an elementary school maybe.
but my brother in law is crazy good at galaga i think if he wanted to he could get the world record but he doesn't but i've seen him do this three times once at an aracade that doesn't exist anymore once at the games of the gods in las vegas and once at a local beef o bradys he gets the score up to right below one million and on one man and then he loses them all so the score score doesn't reset and puts in his name i think that is better a little than 70 thousand.
if they do it right a KotOR mmo could be great and if bioware is doing it they are great i have high hopes cause galaxies blew.

Aww, i don't think James

Aww, i don't think James hates you Craig. Actually come to think of it, I believe he referred to you as his "buddy" in his E3 recap video from last year.

Hard News: God of War

Man, I bet the 10 year old must have been pissed when he couldn`t get God of War.
If only the word "nudity" wasn`t on the cover, the kid would have been so satisfied to play the game.
