MK vs DC with the AVGN

I'm still not that impressed with the look of the game.

will be tricky to get this game to really flow well, and seem to have a point. altho i have seen them talking about how the story does tie everything together so i guess itll work.

MK2 was one of the very first games i owned and loved. i'll get this game even whether it turns out bad or good. lets just hope that its good and not bad. maybe this will be the first good superman game?

It seems to have some promise. The Mortal Kombat characters perform fatalities and so do the DC Villians. Of course, the DC heroes do not. I just wonder what a Catwoman fatality would look like.

MK vs DC now appears more interesting. I have'nt played MK since 3, still, wow, those are crazy new ideals they have. I think this is a game worth keeping a eye on after all.

Nicely done. I'm very curious about this game myself, sounds like it could be fun. I like how they're treating the super hero's finishing moves, debilitating but not lethal, smart move.

It's definitely one of the games I'm looking forward too, being both a Mortal Kombat and DC fan.

My question is will you be able to rip superman's head off?

You wouldn't think that a game with such different characters and franchises could look so damn sweet! I mean, come on, DC vs MK? Sounds like a sorry excuse of a video game from the title, but after seeing just these few clips of game-play makes me giggle like a school girl!

Mister Nerd (sounds weird, but you surely deserve it) I don't know what you saw over there but considering all the movies of MK vs. DC I saw, it looks really sloppy and the graphics ain't so nice. I'm hoping you will post some features that were not described yet, because as for me, this game is not worth risking buying.

Anyways, Mister James, for me it doesn't mather if you review games as AVGN or as yourself, you do it really professionally (as in my consideration), so don't stop your gaming carreer only on AVGN.

To be honest, All I want to see is a fatality from this game. Where ever I look, cameras always seem to look away conveniently while a fatality is happening. It's starting to get frustrating.

I'd like to play it too.

And this bastards will never release it on PC.

I doubt I'll be picking up this one when hits the shelves, the early MK games were nice but the MK games released last gen were god awful, the game-play was clunky, the character designs were poor and the fatalities had gotten rather stale and uncreative, Ed Boon had some nice ideas but they were usually poorly executed (giving each character 3 fighting styles for example).
So yeah, Midway better pull something pretty big out of there hat to pull this one off imo.

I can't wait to try that game out.

I don't remember there being such a big hoopla when X-Men vs. Street Fighter came out, though I do remember it being semi-popular. Anyway, if the Nerd doesn't think it's bad, then it can't be that bad.

I'd probably have to check it out by playing it directly. Then I can give it a review down the road. It has potential but we all know that potential doesn't buy groceries.

What's the point of a MK game where there's not a single player that can't kill someone. Sure I know that their DC heroes, but dude, comeon... If they're up front fighin' a badass like Scorpion they better kill his ass or find that their ass is gonna get burnt..

I've always been a fan of Mortal Kombat, and personally, I like the newer ones. Armageddon is actually pretty fun, but I gotta say, I really don't like what they've done with this. I'm not a DC fan at all, never read them, never had any interest. I want pure MK, nothing else. I want that dark noir, clean slate we were promised. To me the addition of DC characters just ruins it.
