Finally I can see this video. I really want a 360 just to play this game. It looks so cool , I really want to play for like one thing, TEDDY BEAR ROCKET LAUCHER.
In the fallout universe it’s called a vault, there are several vaults across the US. The number on the main character suit, it’s the number of the vault he belongs to.
And please people don’t play this game they are ruining a great franchise, when it comes to RPG fallout 1 & 2 are right up there with KOTOR. But now they changed the gameplay, the VATS system (that slow motion thingy) is only a resemblance of the past system. Go and play the originals, and can someone please make a video game vault of them.

You dont have to bash a game before you've even played it. I played the originals when they were new I love the Fallout series. Ehh the only reasoning I see for you saying that Fallout 3 ruins the series is because its new and that isn't exactly a good reason. I think this game is gonna be good and you have to admit the old Fallout VATS system is very dated in today's gaming world, the fact they added it in Fallout 3 is an amazing plus to Fallout fans.

When i first heard about it i was thrilled, kind of like I am now about mega man 9. The thing is not only the old system being lost in translation. The only thing I saw until now is a generic shooter in the fallout universe, that VATS system seams pointless, I bet everyone who actually plays the game will stop using after a few hours of gameplay. I simply don’t see any of the key elements in the fallout franchise, strategic turn based combat (the new system doesn’t seem to have any form of strategy involved), awesome story that really depends on your character chosen skills (you could enter in the porn industry in the second one, as a fluffer or a pornstar, you could have a shotgun wedding, etc.), the option to do wherever you could, you could be the most beloved person or the worst sob (kind of like the system in KOTOR, only this was earlier than that), and lets not forget the easter eggs (like the whale that splattered from the sky, and the phone booth from Dr. Who).
The new “Fallout” might be an awesome game, but it will probably never be an awesome fallout. Fallout fans do now about this we already seen two mediocre games pretending to be Fallout.

Especially about the two mediocre Fallouts, but its been a long time since Fallout first came out. Black Isle doesn't exist anymore so the "true" fallout feel won't ever be back. As for the ability to do what you want Oblivion was pretty damn open, but I dont think your gonna get to be pornstar or slaver or anything like in the original just because times have changed the video game industry is put under a microscope. I trust Bethesda to do a good job making the game but we can't hope for things that will never exist.

Fallout without the stupid crazy things that happen on fallout, and a strategic combat system (it doesnt have to be turn based, i’ll give you that), its not fallout and you know it. It’s like megaman not having robot masters and not being a shooter.
Like I said before this new game might even be better than Fallout, but its not Fallout.

Bethesda! I hate YOU! You made true Fallout fans suffer!!! Go and bang your heads with toilet! Fallout 3 would be a good game if it wasn't continuation of great pure RPG. Oh... and one thing. Maybe it will be a good game, but why it has - Fallout 3 title? Name it "Superduper post-apo megagame: game based on fallout world" :P and it will be cool with fallout fans ;]
Exactly. I guess "Fallout 3" is an easier title to sell, as it gets a lot of free attention because of the cult status of Fallout 1 & 2. It looks like a decent enough game, but from what I've seen so far (or what I HAVEN'T seen), it seems they haven't really focused on what made the previous games great. Fallout 1 & 2 were very unique, and I think that Bethesda (even though I like some of their previous games) are too... well, generic and bland to recreate the uniqueness of the first two games. Sure, they have the setting taken care of, but it won't be enough.

You two probably haven't been following the news on this title. They're not calling it Fallout 3 because they want to cash in on the franchise. They're calling it Fallout 3 because they wanted to make a new Fallout game. It is set in the Fallout universe, complete with vaults, vault suits, two-headed cows called brahmin, retro style art, mutants, ghouls, power armor ... name it, it's there. Everything you love about the Fallout games will be there. I won't miss the turn-based combat if the new system is crazy fun. This will not be merely a nice-looking shooter, it is an RPG and don't ever forget it.

Judgment on this game swings both ways. I hate people who see knock offs from fallout and swear that 3 will be good based on a few Haloessque screen shots. Congratulations if you like shooters... but fallout was a RPG/Turn based strategy game at its core. Just because Bethesda can't do anything but modify Oblivion doesn't mean they've improved on the originals.
Bethesda hasn't even stayed true to the original looks. Ghouls are zombies. Super mutants aren't even close to looking right. Everything you stated as being fallout related has been changed and looks nothing like the original. The factions from the previous fallouts have been used but are NOTHING like what the original factions were like. The Brotherhood of Steel WERE NOT wasteland police or pillars of justice. They WERE a group of standoffish military who wanted nothing more than to safeguard technological secrets. They didn't even get involved in the first game until your character begged them to act on the military base. The Enclave was nuked at the end of two. Now they've magically teleported to Washington D.C. with the same name and technology as the decimated enclave from the nuke leveled on them at the end of Fallout 2. The USA was cut in twain by a great tornado field in the center of the US over Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota. Thus communication and travel was next to impossible. The war that happened before the first Fallout lasted less than 1 hour. So how did Chinese soldiers invade Washington D.C. to leave manuals laying around. Why, after more than 200 years after the war from the first Fallout, does all the food and water irradiate you? Why can you fire a nuclear catapult at close range and NOT EVEN GET A DOSE OF RADIATION? None of this makes any sense but Bethesda is writing this as cannon!
Bethesda is ripping the soul of Fallout out to make a shooter that will sell like hotcakes. They didn't even bother to show off anything of the dialogue. Guess they didn't want to show off Radiant AI either. At any rate this game looks like Oblivion with a new coat of paint and a change of scenery. It doesn't look like the fallout series and most certainly won't play anything like it. So how is it a sequel?

First of all, ghouls always resembled zombies, they just don't have that lack of intelligence the stereotypical kind always have.
You're trying to draw a lot of logistical estimations in a game series that featured bottle caps for currency, bizarre encounters like meeting the bridgekeeper from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, a pariah dog that literally destroys your luck and cannot be killed and so many more things that don't make a lick of sense.
If you're wondering how he eats and breathes and other science facts, just repeat to yourself, "It's just a game, I should really just relax."
I'm not saying that it's going to be a good game, but I will not assume that just because it's not exactly like the originals (which are very dated) that it will be bad. I do, however, have high expectations based on what Bethesda has said what they wanted to do with this title and the excitement of the entire gaming press. Yeah, all of them. Ever heard of a easter egg. Its a funny pop culture reference or something else that is put into a game. Kinda common... like the troll who offed himself in Oblivion. Easter eggs aren't considered to be canon and you either had to have a very high luck skill or a very low luck skill to get them. Just because they were in the game doesn't mean that the originals didn't make any sense.
Also... the money in your wallet is paper and metal. The only reason it has value is because of government backing (or in the case of fallout community backing). For centuries people have used all kinds of different things as currency. Bottle caps aren't that far out there.
Sorry... but never once in fallout history did your character get near radiation and not have a problem.
Nice how you worked in a bit from the Mystery Science Theater 3000 theme song though, But the question I asked about food being irradiated is still valid. Its not like you can't eat or drink anything in Hiroshima or Nagasaki without your innards shriveling up and dieing even 63 years later.... so why 200 years later is every food item a small dose of death in the game?

The art is mediocre and doesn't stand out in the least bit except that there's dudes in metal suits. The main character's head is too feminine in that it is completely round and smooth. Reminds me of Dave Chappelle's bit, "smooth as eggs" though he wasn't talking about heads. The mutants are uninspired and lack any presence. The first-person view screams 'inexperienced developer' much like that of Bioshock in that the weapons don't sound and feel as powerful, rugged, solid, or tangible as they should. Fallout with Oblivion-like gameplay? It could have potential. Just because it's not traditional Fallout gameplay doesn't mean it's going to be bad. Besides, expectations are so high, it'll be nigh impossible to please the die-hard fans anyway.
Sure, you could complain that the graphics aren't really top notch, but neither were the first two Fallouts for their time. IMO the series is about solid gameplay and story, an rich world and some great humour.
If Fallout 3 can deliver on those points, I'll be plenty happy.

War. War never changes.
A mine shaft?
God damnit dustin....
Haha ya
You can tell Destin isn't a very big pc gamer. I never thought he'd know anything about the Fallout series.
