Fuck yea!!

this AVGN episode was fukin great! Yeah FIRST comment bitches! :D

The whip thing at the end

The whip thing at the end was unbelievable.

yeah sound like he broke

yeah sound like he broke something. I wonder what it was.

If you watch closely, a

If you watch closely, a light goes out when he does the whip thing. lol. So I'm assuming he smoked a lamp with his whip and smashed it.. hence his hilarious reaction.

:)

The Vid is awesome...

As always the nerd brings us his own brand of comedy... Its really cool to listen to his stuff

Awesome vid!

That's awesome. I really like how there's two completely different Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade games with nearly identical labels. Maybe it was an attempt by the shittier of the two to trick you into buying it by mistake.

I really hated when Atari games would try to expand beyond the obvious limitations of the hardware. The fact that you had to use two controllers was dumb. It sort of reminds me of games in which you had to actually use the switches and toggles on the console. How irritating.

Especially for those stiff Atari joysticks. There were third-party sticks, such as the big red one with the action button on the top, that were far more accommodating for that sort of thing. ...but still, that's total ass. Such was the case for gaming made before the advent of menu screens and the select button.

Seriously, this was way too early for game menus. Why didn't they just make it like Pitfall?

And how hard is it to make an Indiana Jones game on NES? There already was a whip-cracking game on that console, and it was called Castlevania. It's not that hard, people. Just copy, print, and you're done.

Oh, and SPEAKING OF Indiana Jones retrospectives, there's an Indiana Jones special on tonight (Wednesday) on Biography... or one of those Discovery-esque channels.

And on a purely unrelated note, if you look at James' shelf about ten seconds into the video, you'll see two Sega 32X/CD games. The one on the left, Supreme Warrior, was the one I had sent into him. I believe that's now the second cameo my game has made.

Yeah, a sexy girl beating up bad guys. You love it.

That's quite ridiculous for

That's quite ridiculous for an Atari game. Why did they over complicate it? Just like Rambo on the NES should have been more like Contra, Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark on the Atari 2600 should have been more like Pitfall.

You read my mind.

I was going to say the same thing about RotLA on Atari; anyway, the video was great. I wonder what the hell he broke at the end. Maybe we'll find out in the next AVGN...

Great

Awesome vid! Keep bringin it nerd we love you!!

Amazing

Just another amazing video he did. I really have nothing else to say I have already watched it twice. That 2600 game is like ET fall down someone chases you can't get out and so on and so on. The 2600 game should of looked/felt like Pitfall is all I'm saying only makes sense. If only I could turn back time...

Oh fuck!, James just used

Oh fuck!, James just used the whip at the cartridge, that was hilarious haha.

w00t

This was one of the best nerd episodes i've ever seen. It was great beyond all greatness...

Nice

I laughed so hard I cried when he broke that lamp, or at least I think it was a lamp. Great video.

RE: Indiana Jones

I watched this a couple hours ago, it's pretty badass and it's reminiscent of oldschool AVGN Nerdom. I loved it. Also good to hear youtube gave back James' AVGN account, I guess youtube isn't as retarded as I thought it was. Although my other favorite game reviewers accounts are suspended so I'm still pissed at YT. Can't win every battle I guess. 4.2/5 great episode!

Anyone else notice when

Anyone else notice when James was trying to figure the game out on paper, not when he draws the level out, BEFORE that...
There is a spiral drawn on the page. Could perhaps be an ode to the Nostaliga Critic who ended up drawing sprials all over himself trying to figure out what the AVGN was up to?

See the NC video here.

In Sweden taxes are now so high that the IRS can accept your soul as valid one week payment.

there is actually 2 versions

there is actually 2 versions of last crusade, it's good he played the crappy one.

Really?

I think he should have showed a little bit of footage from both games

man that was good.

One of the greatest AVGN

One of the greatest AVGN yet!
Loved his reaction when he broke the lamp :D

Fail

There were some great Indiana Jones games made by LucasArts Interactive.

Yes I know the nerd doesn't really do PC games, even classic ones, but those were probably in the top 10 adventure games of all time.

In other words, it's not the Indiana Jones games suck, just that console Indy games sucked.

In the end of the vid, he

In the end of the vid, he mentions Lucasarts and their good work on the SNES version.

Okay okay, I fail

Good Reviewing

That's some good reviewing, All I got to say is keep it up and make another video because i can't wait to see what your reviewing next. Good work James

Amazing!!!!

Very well done video, very entertaining, loved to watch it. BIG Indiana Jones fanboy here and I just laughed my ass off when he was showing the games that don't fallow the movies nearly at all!!! LOL! What kind of game, based on the movie, dosn't fallow the movie, when it should be resembling the plot/story and the characters!? Wow, the screwed that up. Great, massive video review. Four games in one, with a game that three in one! The fouth Indiana Jones movie was amazing, and so was this video. Cheers for the Nerd! Go James!

Great video and Indiana Jones is awesome.

Great review and video James/AVGN.

There were also other games of Indiana Jones that are not "Movie-Based" like those... there was "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis" for the Amiga, and "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine" on N64/PC/???, and a few others out there.
