He summed it up perfectly. A classic from an era when challenge was desired and Big N wasn't worried about making it accessible to as many people as possible by making it so a toddler could win.
The game was very hard, but full of greatness and win.
I have only one problem with that review; They keep referring to a couch when it's clearly a futon.
I think it's awesome Kyle was actually in the game review. I still remember how games were back then, much more challenging then they are now. Back then, you didn't care that much about the ending, just that you were able to beat the game!

That's me and three other friends taking turns playing 2-player Battletoads. I'm surprised you guys even made it to level 3!
Short review though. My personal opinion is that the review could've been 4-5 minutes longer at the end, focusing on how shockingly hard single-player Battletoads is.

You should totally make a follow-up vid. That was one of the funniest ones I've ever seen on screwattack.
And the AVGN video was a nice change of pace. We haven't seen Kyle in the vid since.... Spider-Man I think. I always loved his songs. Especially his take on Spider-Man and Nintendo Power - in fact, I have them on my ipod!!

They should have put in an option for difficulty levels, although levels like the speeder one I'm not sure it would have helped since it was sometimes almost just plain luck whether you hit the ramps correctly or not.

Anyways the ep was amazing. I love when James does stuff with Kyle. His Spider-Man review is still one of my absolute favorites because of the hilarious interaction between the two. The best part of this one has to be the flashbacks with Kyle. Gut busting stuff.

Corey officially became my favorite Screw Attack talent on the day that I discovered that someone else out there hates this game. Why... WHY do people like this game? Challenge is one thing, but this game spanks your ass, even if you have Game Genie.
That's not challenge! That's retarded cheap! This is the game that sparked my hatred for Rare. Still, at least you aren't freakin' collecting bananas!

Im not saying the newer episodes have been bad, far from it, but it just seemed like it was getting a bit repetitive albeit still funny. This is the most i have laughed at AVGN in ages and Kyle is brilliant.

This game isn't good, it's horrible. I just spent the time using savestate to get to the end of this game on the genesis and it's cheap death after cheap death, getting hit by things off screen, mis-jumping and dying cause the screen only lets you see 1/4 of the screen in front of you, insta kill enemies and bosses and just so much piled on difficulty bs that when I finally got the the end....it was the worst ending I've ever seen in my life. The Condor guy says something about bottling The Dark Queens Charisma so they could make a fortune then....SEGA logo....BS!!! I saw the NES ending too. it's better but it's still bs for all the things you have to go through to beat it. This is THE most over rated game I've ever seen in my life. What is wrong with all you people who say this game is good, ARE YOU ALL NUTS!? I'd rather floss my rear with barbed wire than play this game again! It's a piece of CRAP!! They made this game to contend with the TMNT and it shows they put little to no thought into the actual game design other than to keep you playing as long as possible and not to see the ending.
