wow this was pretty good
some of those were expected but a couple were a little unexpected, like the best game overall, i mean MGS4 was good but i didn't think it was the best, plus Solid Snake. Don't get me wrong MGS 4 is good but yeah i didn't know that there was that many people that thought it too.
I just hoped that Too Human got the SAGY but oh well, everyone voted, not just me, i tried as much as i could.

People say Too Human was a disappointment, but I beg to differ. Wii Music is probably the most disappointing title by far simply because of all the promise the head company saw for it. Too Human had one zealous developer, this is Nintendo we're talking about; they say it's good, it better be pretty frickin awesome.

Yahtzee is good and all that, but I think The Spoony One actually has a better style overall. I mean, Yahtzee's bit gets sorta old after awhile, while Noah's stuff is pretty varied. However, can't win em all.

He's Yahtzee's favorite reviewer too, according to an interview he did. I voted for Spoony a few times. It's a shame he didn't win, but I don't think anyone was expecting him to beat Yahtzee.

Best Video Game Character... wow... what a surprise. You guys gloss over one of the best-designed characters to come out of the gaming world in Travis Touchdown to go with the scruffy, unshaven, white guy with guns and a bad attitude... and an aging one as well. Yeah, yeah, I know, he is a long-time standing character from the NES era, but as much as Nintendo die-hards refuse to admit it, maybe he was the gramer-based character before there were gramer-based characters.
Best PS3 game... yep, gramer game wins. Sorry, Little Big Planet.

Best Wii game... wait a second, do you notice anything wrong here? Take a look at the three PS3 games, the three 360 games, and the three Wii games. For the PS3 games, two games with guns and a platformer; for the 360 games, three flat-out gramer games; and for the Wii you get a racer, a fighter, and GTA with a lightsaber and skitzophrenia. Variety people, it's not a cardinal sin! Anyway, I voted for No More Heroes because I knew either one of the other two would win. Not surprised the most mainstream one of the bunch won. It's even less of a surprise because the gramers saw it won on Spike TV's "This is what gamers should play" Gramer Awards.
Best overall game: *sigh* something with realistic guns in a realistic setting... at ScrewAttack? Classic gaming culture... rest in peace...
At this point, I'm not surprised the 360 won best system here. More guns and any big commercial hit that was on the PS3 was also avalible for the 360. Even though the DS had a game avalible for almost EVERY genre, even those FPS games gramers seem to love so much.
And the SAGY goes to something from Nintendo. I have a very high opinion on this one. First of all, who all really expected Wii Music to be a AAA title? Honestly. Now, who all expected Too Human or Haze to be a AAA title? See, a lot more hands would probably be raised for that second question. That's why I think either of those should have been the SAGY award winner simply based on sheer disappointment. Then again, fates forbid that something in a realistic-setting with guns or something on the 360 get the SAGY. >.>

I'm not angry that some of my favorites didn't win. In fact, I expected many not to win. Hell, I voted for VG Cats over Penny Arcade, but I don't complain. I'm not a hard guy to get along with. I've played some of the non-Nintendo. I'm not making these accusations blindly, I assure you. I'm not accusing anybody of hating on Nintendo one damn bit. If someone doesn't like Nintendo, that's their perogitive. In fact, I'm used to it. I grew up in the Nintendo vs. Sega days. If anyone is used to it, its someone like me. Hell, we had freakin' anti-Nintendo commercials thrown in our faces (but hey, at least they were catchy ^^; ). My dissapointment is in the realization of how little variety there really is out there in the gaming world. I merely took the Nintendo Wii having three different genres because Nintendo was applicable. Now, if the PS3 had a platformer, a FPS, and an action-adventure game while the 360 had all platformers and the Wii had all fighters, I'd be praising the PS3 for variety. Maybe I'd be a bit more jestly about it, but I'd mean it.

Now maybe I am wrong about this, and yes, I know full well that just because you like GTA or Fallout doesn't neccessarily make you a gramer. and as for "Best 360 game... they're all gramer games." Fallout 3 isn't a gramer game, there's to much depth for gramers and no multiplay so gramers wouldn't even bother, not to mention it is a threequel from a very in depth, cult classic PC series.
I do agree with you on the PS3, MGS4 is probably the most gramer game outside of EA titles for the console and LBP should have seen the love, but I'm not so quick to say that the people who voted are all gramers.

I never really understood why people need to write a friggin novel on crap that no one cares about! I really wonder sometimes who actually has the time to write those giant blocks of text or even read them. Most of the time I just pretty much ignore them. There's really nothing wrong with gramers... or even casual gamers. I mean, I don't know how old you are or anything but I just can't do it any more. In the past I could do a game like FFVII in a single sitting or 100% Mario World in an evening. Can't do that anymore (not for lack of trying)... I'd rather sit down and play Peggle for 20 minutes than play Zelda.

Travis Touchdown =/= a good or original character. He carries a light saber, acts like a whiny douchebag, and his actions are driven by stupidity and his feelings for women. Congratulations, you're a fanboy for a cell shaded Anakin Skywalker from Episodes 2 and 3. No More Heroes was a "meh" at best and I don't know why it gets the praise that it does. You can unlock most of the content your first time through the game if you have the patience to drive around the city. The combat is repetitive and simplistic, y'know, block,wait, block, wait, A A A A B etc etc, with some Wii mote tilting thrown in there. Cell shading has been done to death so woopity doo there. Finally, the enemies are so cookie cutter identical they could make Master Cheif, Soild Snake, every guy from GoW, and Sam Fisher look like an original idea. It's an average game by most standards but I guess if you wanna be cool and go against the masses NMH is a pretty good game to latch on to. HOLY THIS IS GETTING LONG! Hm...this is nothing but a giant insult post...have to not seem like a total a-hole somehow. So...well...I guess I can agree with your support of Little Big Planet. That game was quite ubertastic.
Don't get me wrong though, I hate Gramers with a bloody passion. Personally, I've been sticking to PC gaming over the past few years since it's one of the few places nerds can take refuge from casuals and actually enjoy multiplayer games where a significant portion of players actually know what they're doing. That being said...it's hard for me to see how MGS4 qualifies as a "Gramer" game. I doubt that any of the "dude brah" demographic of gamers with Master Chief shrines in their rooms would be nuts about a game that focuses so heavily on a story rather than actual gameplay. Hell, I LIKE the MGS series and even I was getting sick of the opening cinematic. The combat system has never really stood out for me but I really enjoy the story...although with the latest installment Kojima seems to really show off his upskirt fetish..Japanese peeps is weird. Now, I don't think that SNAKE is that great of a character by himself. Despite his rugged emo nature he's a decent main character and I can't imagine anyone who would be a better protagonist in that series, but by himself he's straight out of the cookie cutter and nothing really stands out about him. Personally, I would say that Revolver Ocelot is by far the best character from that series and probably one of the most awesomest bad dudes from any video game series. Though, if I had to vote on the coolest character of all time in a video game...I would have to go with a Sack Boy...man that sounds gay.
